Nice to see Cal Lu go with the 10 game schedule like some of the other SCIAC squads have.  A few new faces this year as well.

The schedule is incorrect. September 29 is an open date. No game scheduled.

Maybe that is why ten games are scheduled.

Dang, you got me and I had to back and look.  Well played.

I wish Chapman scheduled a 10 games. I am worried that Oxy will bail and then we will just have an 8 game season which just seems wrong. Really hoping we can schedule outside the box like Cal Lu.

Not like there is a shortage of funds...Schools keeps buying parcels and building....

Chapman leadership, from my experience, focuses on the big picture for the university. My guess here is that they'd rather put funds toward a new science center and student housing than pay for a 10th game for the football team. I am not expert and i don't claim to be. Chapman could be rolling out brand new Nike Uniforms, alternative helmets and a full 10 game schedule next year and i wouldn't be shocked at all.

Tweeter feed has Danny Gonzales UR, DB running 4.4 forty, he is looking for a pro day. Heck is CLU Qb gets an invite, how can a guy that led college football in picks and can run, not get a sniff.

Danny Gonzales went out again last weekend and ran a 4.37 40 (electronic time)  and did 16 bench press reps. Pretty impressive....

Too bad flying to Hobart's out of the question. They have 9/29 open also. I attended a few games at the old CLU stadium when I lived out in the SFV. Great to be able to see some D3FB when I lived in CA.

Gotta follow the conversation more closely -- Cal Lu is playing Oxy on 9/29. OxyBob is just dubious about Oxy fielding a team.

Cal Lu just tweeted out, four players were invited to the Rams for pre-draft workouts. Rams practice at Cal Lu, maybe the Rams thru Coach Mac a bone.

What happens if they don't raise the money by the 22nd?  Are they going to cancel the program right away?

Oxy has the money to cover all aspects of the program, including the increased funding needed to be competitive. How about they do this - fund the next four years and put full resources behind the program to succeed, and then go to your alumni to fill in the gaps financially to help the program grow.

This deadline and passing the buck to the alumni to step up and raise the money or else is simply a smoke screen to kill the program. They are being set up to fail in my personal opinion and this process does not pass the smell test. RIP Oxy football.
