Sorry to backtrack to Saturday, but in case anyone's interested, the advantage of being a WONC alum (or in this case, having a WONC alum friend who remembered the full hour skimmer link): here's the NCC radio call of Jake Beesley's game-sealing interception.

Thank God they had a backup plan to deal with technical difficulties... couldn't have timed the return any better.

As I said, my predictions could well be as close to accurate as we are to the moon.
Here are the major factors that invaded my brain and influenced my NC/DV prediction.

1. DV has to travel some 800 miles. I believe that takes a toll. Even on well conditioned young guys. +3 points to NCC for home field advantage. Also, I sense that with that many miles involved, DV won't have a very large contingent of supportive fans.

2. The Cards are "hot" right now with a ton of mo propelling them.

3. QB may be the most important and game influencing position in all sports and NC has Broc Rutter.

4. If the NC staff was able to formulate a winning game plan vs MU, I sense they can do it vs. DV.

Any NCC fans hear anything about a pre game tailgate barbecue similar to that held prior to the Wabash game?

Yes. An email was sent out today by Alumni Engagement. 10AM by Rall.

Come to 302 Wheaton!  We have a simple menu, awesome burgers and the largest tap list in downtown Wheaton.  Would love to host you guys before the game!

How did I find this post you might ask?  My wife and extended family all went to Wheaton and her uncle's the track coach there.  He found it...

Would you be willing to open at 10?

ROR - parking at the stadium is tight and the visitor stands are small so it has been suggested that we arrive early to the stadium.  Possibly 302Wheaton would be a better choice after the game.
Go Johnnies!!!

SJU FANS,

Parking anywhere near the Wheaton FB field is VERY limited. Best place by far to park, especially if you don't know the area, is the lot between the massively impressive Billy Graham Center and the field. When we played Wheaton I arrived at the lot 40-45 minutes before game time and got one of about 5-10 spots that were left. If you start partying at 10:00 you will have to leave at 11:05 to walk to your car, drive over to the lot, and find a spot. Doesn't leave much time for pre-game festivities.

Veek's idea of getting together AFTER the game makes pretty good sense, of course with the caveat of how soon you want to get on the road after the game ends and what you want to consume prior to doing so. Just be aware you need to be at the lot by 11:15 and that might be to late.

What about the residential streets to the north/northeast of campus & south of the tracks?  We've been able to park within a few blocks of the stadium when the nearby lots are full.

...a reminder to Johnnie fans that Wheaton is a dry campus so you'll have to find a spot elsewhere for your pregame libations before making your way over.

There is plenty of parking near Wheaton Campus. The lots that fill up are literally next to the stadium. There will be no problem finding parking within a 10 minute walk (probably 5 minute) to the stadium. If you go to a restaurant in downtown Wheaton it's about a 10 minute walk to the stadium from there. And you NCC fans have the worst parking situation this side of Augie that I know of.

What if we found some good middle ground between the Wheaton and NCC campuses and did a huge combined tailgate!! Maybe the Lucent parking lot?

On campus, yes, I agree, but we have the city parking garages within one to three blocks from the stadium.

Boy, that takes me back. My dad worked there for a long time. It is probably roughly the middle ground between the two though.
