3-1 for the WIAC tonight

Whitewater with most impressive win on paper over ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Platteville rolls Waldorf at home
Stout 84 Marian 77
Baldwin Wallace 68 River Falls 65  - only Falls player in double figures was Herink

The Hawks played well tonight against #15 C-M-S. they opened up a 25 point first half lead. At one point they expanded it in the second half before the Stags made a run. I will let BW give his stellar game summary (although he might be out of town). It was particularly impressive given Scotty and Chris weren't in the lineup tonight. Sachs is a really good player at point and UW-W seems deep at 2-4. Jensen got 26 really important minutes of experience at the 5. Excellent team effort! I think this team may be quite a bit better defensively than we have seen in the last couple years from UW-W. the final was 82-66.

All-American Michael Scarlett didn't play for CMS either.  Basically it tells us nothing about either team moving forward.

Shoot me if you must, but I saw River Falls play last night, and they looked like a one man team and nothing like the #10 team in the country in losing to a team that isn't even in the ORV category. They either just had a bad game which a good team can certainly do, or its going to be a more difficult season than was initially thought.

Greek Tragedy

Point up 22 with 2 to play, feels good to get a win.  BVU only predicted 7th out of 9 in the IIAC, but I'll take the morning solid road win. Nate Dodge with 28 with 8 3s. No Bublitz or Delmore.

It's complicated.  Tyler should return to the lineup this week.  Whether Jones returns is anyone's guess at this point.

Scots: 50
WARHAWKS: 66

The two teams traded ties and lead changes during the first seven minutes or so before Dalton Menke's layup gave the WARHAWKS a lead, 12-10, that they would hold for the rest of the evening.  The lead quickly grew to double digits over the next three to four minutes, reaching a high of sixteen 31-15, at the half.  The WARHAWKS defense clamped down holding the Scots to 7-32 (22%) from the field including 0-12 from beyond the arc.  Menke's 11 points and Derek Rongstad's 8 rebounds led.  The Scots pulled to within eleven midway through the second half but that's as close as it would get.

Andre Brown: 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, steal
Menke: 13 points, 3 rebounds, assist, steal
Rongstad: 7 points, 9 rebounds, assist, steal

WARHAWKS host Anderson Saturday afternoon.
