Quote from: Ron Boerger on Yesterday at 09:54:19 PMI don't think I've seen anyone in the conference actually announce a schedule, though everyone has probably gone to the trouble of lining up their non-conf games and there was no doubt a conference schedule in place.  Trying to find tenth opponents now is going to be well-nigh impossible no matter what the SAA ends up doing.

Berry, Centre, Millsaps, and Sewanee all have schedules posted.

Pretty hard to criticize a great D3 event like the Great Lakes Invite, but La Crosse gets paired up with St. John's, who they seem to play every other year and a host of other MIAC teams, and Marietta, who they just played in the 22-23 season. I would've like to see the Eagles go up against JHU, JCU or Emory.

I do plan on making the trip depending on who Point has at their 4-team tournament the same weekend, I believe.

On top of La Crosse's opponents...which like you said, would have been cool to see them playing teams they didn't just play...but why would La Crosse get the 1 pm time slot on both days?  They kind of got the shaft on that one.  I get them having the earliest game once, but not twice.

SCIAC teams may have openings.

I might know of a couple of schools who are looking for games.

This just put a hole in all the SAA football schedules, and Huntingdon.  Be interesting to see what all the schools do and who gets added to everyone's schedule.  Wonder if they will reset the conference schedule or just go with what was already posted?

Trinity has Clapp , Roache , Laughlin O'Brien  if he did not get hurt would have made strog canidate for rookie of the year. Not to mention to freshman from last years roster who contributed and are big play receivers.

I think this year Offenses will find there idenity and figure out passing or running teams. the real question marks will be who can develop a defense that can stop teams.

It remains to be seen if Fischetti is finally 100 percent, but when healthy I'd easily take him over any back in the league.  And the Ephs have now developed excellent depth at TB, led by Jon Oris.  Trinity and Tufts backs great, but they also benefited from dramatically better passing attacks so they had a lot more space to operate.

*most of the SCAC schools - Colorado College would still be at the top of that list, most would agree.

The only thing I would add to this is that Trinity recently was reclassified by Carnegie as a "Baccalaureate Arts and Sciences College", leading to them being considered a "National Liberal Arts College" in the rankings.  Nearly all the SAA schools are similarly designated, but very few of the SCAC schools are.  Prior to the change they were a "Regional University", which is how most of the remaining SCAC and ASC schools are classified.   Southwestern had gone through a similar reclassification several years earlier.

Trinity, Southwestern and six of the SAA schools (including Birmingham-Southern) are also members of the Associated Colleges of the South.  Centenary is the only SCAC/ASC school among that group.  It's all about aligning with your peers.
