Title: Umpiring

I was enjoying this walk off win video:

....but something caught my attention.  I know the walk off is proforma and in reality, the home run hitter's run did not win the game but none of the umpires looked to make sure each bag was hit and when the batter came around, the home plate umpire was walking away.  It would be nice for them to dot those i's and cross the t's.

In collegiate games I have twice seen a batter, after hitting one out, called out for failing to touch home.

Happened to a USM batter a couple years ago in the D3 championship: Almost cost them a trip to the Championship game

I've seen it in the major leagues too.  I guess in that walk-off situation, once the winning run touches home, the others don't mean much.  I've wondered why they don't just watch all of them touch...but I've seen it before, including in the MLB.

Maybe the final score should have been 16-14 and give the guy a triple.
