The soccer boards on d3boards.com simply don't have that much traffic. That's why there's so many gaps in terms of fan coverage.

As of this moment, here's the number of posts in each of the five men's sports that have dedicated posting sections:

732,074 for football
394,285 for basketball
  68,576 for baseball
  34,706 for soccer
    1,708 for hockey

How long has each board been active?

I certainly hope the Royals get around to 'figuring it out', otherwise it will be a long, long year inside & outside of the Long Center.

One place the braintrust might start in their quest to get better is to improve their defense.

If you continually allow teams to shoot 65% from the field, then they won't beat a decent high school team let alone respectable college teams.

Personally, I see this team as addicted to shooting the 3 & rarely have I seen them this year have an organized and well thought out plan of attack to reset the offense when Shank is getting double teamed other than fire away.

From air balls at the free throw line to lazy passes turned into points to wing players not knowing who their covering (hint: it's probably the guy on the wing) there is much to improve upon & the clock is ticking.

I hope I'm wrong but I question whether this team, as they are currently playing are even capable of going on the road and bringing the focus needed to win.

Right now they appear to be leaderless, passionless & lost...qualities not really ever associated with a Scranton team.

If someone wants to emerge as a team leader, now would be the perfect time.

Otherwise, I guess we just wait for Westbrook & Curry to return.

If I am Danzig I tell the team we hit the reset button on 1 January and focus on conference play. Is this what it feels like to be a Goucher fan? Haha. Jk.

We lose Cold Case and the Royals tank; coincidence?

General Division III issues / Re: Compelling reasons to move from D3 to D2?
« on: December 06, 2017, 12:05:44 pm »
There are always schools considering the move... just not sure if they will or won't.

Most have to get their applications in by early January for a decision to then be made. That is why this time of the year is popular for these kinds of reports, speculation, rumors, etc.

Personally, not many DIIIs have moved on to DII and it done anything more than be a blimp on the radar.

UT-Tyler is not the only one considering this right now. Benedictine (Ill.) has a decision coming from their board of trustees this week.

Blimp on the radar lol, that is a new one.

Chestnut Hill has successfully moved from D3 to D2 in the Philly region FWIW.

Great. You named one. I can name another Philly area school that has basically disappeared: Lincoln.

I can also name schools like MacMurry who have returned with their tail between their legs. Or Rowan who keeps talking that they are going on to DII (with hopes to move on to DI) and can't the process started.

A lot of schools have left DIII for DII. Not many make headlines. Same can be said in reverse, especially in the modern era.

I added a name to the discussion that wasn't previously mentioned.

Shocked you needed to trace my IP to find out that I'm a die-hard Mules fan. Haven't missed a game since 82', Sorry I'm passionate about my community, you should feel this way about Hopkins being from Baltimore.

You do realize there are more programs in the Baltimore metro than JHU, right? Also, that some of us work to cover the entire division thus making our "passion" a little less singular. :)

Yeah Dave is a Goucher homer, get it right!

I think calling me a homer is a bit of a stretch.

It is tongue in check, relax.

Shows you how much I take winning for granted. Rough to see them struggle like this.

Congrats to Marywood, yes Marywood Iím winning the cross county challenge. Scranton looks lost but still managed to beat Kings. Both Kings and Wilkes lost to Marywood. Maybe I should come back to this page to talk hoops as the Landmark is quite.

I can hear cold case from heaven pontificating on the state of NEPA basketball

Can someone tell me if Widener has live video? Not apparent from their website.

Nepa, yes they do. Just go to Widener's event page and you'll find access to the video feed.

Thank you sir! Wasn't obvious the last time i went to the home page. I see it now.

This is a great listen with talk of all NEPA college basketball and some D1 talk. Of course the most in-depth talk was on Scranton and starts at the 16 minute mark. Some good nuggets for Royal fans.
