Do not knock Meatloaf!  His old high school was destroyed by a tornado that actually improved the building.  (I've worked at that school, and it was a mess.)  I think he was honored at a ceremony there a few years ago, and I am pretty sure he went unrecognized by almost everyone at the school.  I am still trying to find the one thing he would not do for love.

Hilarious TO!

2020 proves once again to suk as bad as Meatloaf was a rock star.

ND has their light bulbs and pens, so they are sorted.   ;D

Damn  I wish I could find that Hitler video. "Hitler wants a Burger King." Classic.

NASCAR starts real racing Sunday as well

I think they will get the race in but it might get interrupted by thunderstorms a time or two.

At least they won't have to worry about clearing the fans out of the stands.

So, I pull into my driveway yesterday and right on the edge of the concrete stands a deer, staring at me. (This is Wiscy. They are everywhere)

Then I look over at my front porch where my wife stands armed with a broom. Turns out the deer had been eating from the wife's flower bed and a rumble was about to ensue.

I calmed down both combatants and bambi wandered off.

Something tells me this situation isn't over yet. (My money is on the deer)

Chicago Tommie lives!   8-)

Hang around CT and quarantine here for awhile.

and I don't have a boat right now.

The virus is one thing but what I'm really worried about is what happened to Duffman's boat!  ???

We've got a shot at another Dunn county sports pro today if Menomonie native Nate Stanley (QB Iowa) gets drafted.
Vikings would be a good spot for him.

You youngsters will not know what I am talking about but:
I guarantee you that Dunn County hasn't seen that kind of talent since Andy Pafko.  ;)     :D

Just a small town kid from Boyceville that made the baseball big leagues and did well. "Handy Andy" has the baseball facility named after him in that small town.

A large school such as St. Olaf may not have an issue but there are many Division III schools who do rely on athletics to meet the bottom line. At many schools, student-athletes make up well more than a quarter of the student body, and if some of those students don't feel as connected to campus without athletics and therefore don't show up for the fall ... it could be hugely problematic for the bottom line.

I think this is dead on. My son is a current D3 student athlete and I don't believe he would be at the school he attends without having been recruited there. And I know that approximately 25% of his fellow students are in athletics.

UW-Eau Claire is in the process of adding baseball (among a couple sports) and I read that one of the reasons was to boost enrollment.

Through my Agent OzJohnnie (OZJ) I have informed the National Football League (NFL) that I have made myself (BDB) available in tonights NFL Draft.

With the Cincinnati Bengals (CB) having the 1st overall pick, I believe my skills at Quarterback (QB), Running Back (RB), Linebacker (LB) and Cornerback (CB) will have me off campus of Lay-Z-Boy University (LZB) and jetting to my new team and signing bonus of one billion cash ($1B).

So when you are watching tonight, whether it be on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) or the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network (ESPN) you should see my pick look like this:

1st Round 1st Pick

Team :    CB
Player:     BDB
School:    LZB
Position:  QB, RB, LB, CB
Bonus:    1B
Degree: GED

I gots skills to make Bills, baby!  Oz, you did send that letter to the NFL, didn't you?   ???    ;)

Well, they blew it.

CB took JB.

Hey, I'm Day 1 talent still avail.  Maybe Tampa Bay picks me and I rock with Tom Brady.

It works!  TB picks BDB to play with TB. It was meant to "B".   ;D

MUC57, was it the Air Force then or still the Army Air Corps?

BDB

The U.S. Air Force became a separate branch in 1947. It's first Chief of Staff was Gen. Carl a Spaatz.
In spite of the fact that I was once a proud member of the USAF, it survives to this day!
"They took the blue from the skies and a pretty girl's eyes and a touch of old glory's hue, and gave it to the men who proudly wear the U.S. Air Force blue........." . Little known USAF song.
Put that in your F117A Nightbird stealth fighter and sneak up on someone!

"Off we go into the wild blue yonder, flying high into the sky.........." 🇺🇸

My father was a Tech Sergeant in the Army Air Corps during WW2. He was in North Africa and up through Italy mostly.Classic for that generation he didn't talk about it much unless you asked him about it, which I did.

3 quick takeaways:
1) What do you remember most? "Counting the planes as they came back to see how many we lost."
2) How did you get to Northern Italy? "Walked mostly. Sometimes we got to ride."
3) Best highlight? "Was in the audience of the Pope in Rome for Mass."

He was quick to point out that he was in the Army Air Corps and not the Air Force. It's listed on his tombstone.
