Coach D enjoy your retirement but we look forward to seeing you at the Shirk or Tarble.  Stevie D, congratulations young man.

I have no clue, but why do you think it's Thomas?

I also have no clue.

But...

* Great relationships in the suburban Chicago basketball scene - would seem to walk in with the ability to recruit that key area.
* Augie grad.
* Well respected coach.

Clearly they have strong options here.  I think a tie, if there is a tie, would go to an Augie guy?
Jim Thomas has the right qualifications to be seriously considered from the high school ranks.  It certainly does no hurt that he is both an Augustana grad and successful as a college basketball player.  His academic qualifications are a good fit at the college level.  I would venture his compensation requirements would be a fit also.

MU rising to the "top tier" in CCIW women's hoops?   :)   LOL

Pretty crazy high school scoring, to be sure.  (Thanks Q).

it was not long ago that Millikan was “top tier”.   With Olivia’s background and successes, Millikan will attract quality players.  You know Olivia will never give up getting the best players she can recruit.  Heck, I would play for Olivia!

I am going to do this Sager style, so I apologize in advance LOL

Not quite sure how I should take that. ;)
Not even close D-Mac!  Must be a full page or more; and lacking length, must have obscure quotes that only a Sager could pull from the Netherlands of this site.  Lacks sufficient subtle sarcasm that readers after scrolling through subsequent posts go “Oh, I get that!”  But, very good try.  Keep practicing but then “It’s only practice”

He's a great kid who went to the junior high where I teach. He'll work hard to get on the floor.
Thanks for the scoop, NCF.

IWU seems to be the place where many of our former students are going these days. :D

I thought you were supposed to be pointing them to NCC...or Middlebury.
Go hortheast you man. Vermont is lovely in the winter!

Oh please Mark.  Two NBA players on Utah Jazz tested positive. The Jazz was just in Detroit and stayed at a hotel downtown.  How many guests, fans and other players did they infect?

The medical experts right now are saying the less contact possible is the best way to minimize the virus from spreading. As a person who has an autoimmune disease, I am limiting contact and certainly wish others would do so as well.

Greg - It was nice to see Cardinals step up in a game where Connor Raridon did not have his best stat sheet night,  Connor has put this team on his back and carried so often over his career.

CCIW fans can be thankful the Cardinals and Bluejays as “birds of a feather” are still in the tournament when the WIAC now has none.  Hum, maybe Rock Island version of the Vikings and the Titans should have been ranked higher.   ;D :o

Will NCAA give Amherst host if they close gym to fans?

I have no idea if they will take this into account, but I do hope they consider it.
I too hope NCAA considers takes this into account bot also why a potential host might close a gym.

Anybody who has not been watching the UWO @ NCC game is missing something really amazing.
Amazing might be an understatement.   Cardinals dug a 15 point hole with 3:52 remains in first half.
Connor Raridon limited to 6 points, set much of 2nd half on bench with four fouls and then fouls out with 3:02 remaking In OTwith tie at 77-77.

Big effort by Blaise Meredith tonight ending up with 23 points.  Clausel big off bench with 11 and 6 big boards and Pollack finishes with 17 on 5-6 3 pt FG including some big treys.  Cardinals really stepped up when Raridon had to sit out with 4 fouls.

We might have seen the championship game tonight but if not certainly had a championship feel.  Well played by both teams!  And as usual, a well coached game by Todd Raridon.

If the next round is Elmhurst vs Emory...

I assume that is in Atlanta?

Selection Sunday Resumes
* Emory: .840/.562/6-1 (South #2)
* Elmhurst: .821/.546/4-2 (Central #2)

Seems likely regardless of the state of the Faganel floor. (Apologies in advance if I've missed any further update about that.)
Agree...seems like Emory would be the higher seed there.
Emory on east side of Atlanta.  It is the school Asa Candler built i.e., founder of the Coca Cola Company.  To this day, executives of Coca Cola make generous donations to Emory as well as funding from Candler’s numerous foundations.

All of which moot since Emory lost.

Hope all over Grove City.  No contest really.  GC may not get to 20 points for 4Qs.

Hope seems long and tall, but not particularly fast. Hope the TITANS style of pace and pressure will work against them.  They've probably not faced much of this style of play in their season, with so so many blowouts, save for the close games with Trine.

Should be interesting.  I wish Grove City had offered a bit more resistance.  Both teams with an easy pathway to Saturday evening, starters resting relatively early.

Go TITANS -- go for the Sweet Sixteen!  :)

Hope long and tall but not particularly fast - I agree.  Hope seemed to have trouble when the pace picked up.  Maybe Hope played to level of competition but I was not impressed  with Hope tonight.

Rough first half for Adrian as they trail by 11 (37 to 26, I believe).

NC was in the bonus perhaps faster than I’ve ever seen. Maybe 5 minutes in? And then they were shooting 2 with maybe 7 or 8 minutes left.

I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but it would say that Adrian is lucky to be just down 11. NC is hitting 3’s, or did for a stretch, and Adrian, specifically Harris, are not hitting their 3’s, and they are forcing a bit.

Also not having a good game are these announcers. I know it’s small school stuff, but it’s rough. But perhaps I was spoiled by the Albion broadcast which was fantastic.

I really like NC’s offense. Lots of replacements and every movement is towards the basket. Adrian is a bit on their heels.

They’re going to need to get a run early and make this a manageable deficit, because if this stays in double digits too long, they likely won’t have a run in them to overtake North Central.
Not sure the broadcast crew was NCC normal crew.  Did not sound like it to me.  Maybe Sager or AndOne can help if surfing here.
