... because we're Catholics!

Does this also mean you have six other siblings? Get them on the board too! :)

Frosty fans, I was watching the ITH radio podcast last night and learned that no makeup date for the CNU game is scheduled.  Hobart has a 9 game schedule as well and an open date on 9/29....just sayin'...

That would be great. The time would be now if it was to occur. I thought UCF and West Virginia were going to play each last week after their cancellations, but with such short notice and logistics, its hard to find room & Board for the size of the teams (mayble neutral site). I'm pretty sure Frostburg Coach would play with a day's notice... ;D
Yeah, I bet logistics are probably hard to make games like that work on short notice. Doesn't Hobart usually only stick with a 9 game season anyway?

It's still their Homecoming. Maybe they'd like a football game.

Hey, he just wanted to be out on the plains, man ...

Watched a Midd team scrimmage last night.

I'm sure you meant a "student organized game of pick-up basketball that was unbeknownst to coaches or staff and would, technically, be open to all students, if the need or desire arose, but somehow featured only members of the basketball team."  That "s" word can get you in trouble.
Ok, poor choice of words.  Most people on this board know how team organized pick up games work in the preseason.
To be sure there was a mix of kids there, many of whom are never going to play on a college team.  No coaches or staff; just lucky old me.
Some players I most hoped to see were attending classes.

Open gym. :)

Since we are three and half weeks til preseason starts and the season starts a week earlier this year; is the preseason top 25 poll going to come out any earlier than around Nov 1, as it did last year?

You know we're all itching for b ball to begin.  ;D

Probably. We're making a final push for help from schools in posting schedules and then we can really move on preseason stuff.

Rhythm21, if you want to give Ryan a +1, you need to go to his post and hit the [applaud] link right below his karma rating in the upper left corner of the post.

He doesn't have that functionality yet -- it's for starters (200 posts) and above.

I chatted with Carleton coach Tom Journell in last week's Friday podcast. It's about a 10-minute interview, starting at the 17:15 mark.

$100K ouch...

JT's outlays from 1985-1990 including room, board, & books (at Rowan)... beer/partying expenses not included.

Community College 85-88              $3,200
Glassboro State (Rowan) 88-90     $11,000

Is this the JT of old?

Yes... a little older, and hopefully a little wiser.

We're hoping. Approved your registration with the idea that that would be true.

Yes, both starting QB Chad Shade and backup David Wells left the game w/ injuries so JR HB Hunter Belzo took over at QB in the game.

Ahhh, that explains the scoring output.

Springfield points were on Union ****-ups early on. Being honest here, Shade couldn't do **** while he was in and Wells REALLY couldn't do **** while he was in. Belzo, in Dutch Boy's opinion, actually gave it a great try (dude is strong). If Shade stayed in they MAY have scored a little bit more but they were just over-matched.

Springfield was leading 10-7 when Shade got hurt.

Nescacman,
You're right. I should just regurgitate game stats evergone can already get from quick Google search and the box scores and pass that off as in-depth analysis. My bad.

Go back and read our 389 posts over the last 5 years and then MAYBE you can criticize us...Seems like everyone else on the Board appreciates the hard work and thoughtfullness we put into our rankings and picks, year after year, week after week.

Karma score suggests otherwise. 😂

Oh great one...as you know, some boarders donít always like hearing the truth...

Well, just to make it clear, the statement that "everyone else appreciates the hard work" has no real basis in ... well, anything in terms of evidence. :)
