I also am curious about Goldsmith. If anyone hears, please post. Thanks.

So tough loss for Shenandoah in 14 innings.  I sure would like to know how many pitches the Salisbury starter threw in 12.1 innings.  Geez....  12 hits, a couple walks and a hit batter too, so its not like it was a perfect game.

I don't think anyone ever called Messiah a cupcake team.  Perennial champs in every sport... D3 monster.

Disappointing loss for CNU though.  Very glad they came through today.

Must have been nice for Shenandoah to play at Plumeri Park.  What a great spot!

The NCWC pitching situation does sound pitiful. I remember a respected pitching instructor once saying: "if you don't get enough warmup pitches in, you will continue to warmup in the game (and get pounded)".  It's so basic.  What a terrible way to lose...

On another note, congratulations Captains!!!!

I sure agree with you about the aircraft carriers in Norfolk....

Well I lived in San Diego and my sister went to Oregon State so I used to visit her in Corvallis. My brother lived in Boulder, Colorado and near Estes Park.  I've been to Oregon, Washington and Colorado. The only states I haven't been to are North Dakota and Alaska. I'm not arguing about the beauty of Oregon.  Just saying that Virginia has some as well. Go Captains, oh and Go Linfield.

And for all you CNU fans......Having lived in Oregon, Virginia Beach and other Virginia cities....McMinnville, OR also wins the better place to live award as well....no contest:)

I have heard that about some towns in Oregon...  But since I am stuck in Virginia, I am going to appreciate my CNU Captains!  Go Captains!

(By the way, the Virginia countryside is spectacularly beautiful. Ever been to Charlottesville or out to the Shenandoah Valley?)

Linfield deserved the championship, but I am also going to congratulate the CNU Captains on an outstanding season and excellent performance in the championship tournament. The farthest they have ever gone!

Time and again, the only smacked being talked on this USA South board is by Shenandoah fans such as Cafe Bordeaux. Maybe your team will do well in this tourney, but you, my "friend", have zero class.

Live video is going to be free for the tournament.

Seriously? That sounds insane.

For who?

CNU has exams this week.  SU has exams next week.  Seems difficult to schedule a game between teams that are four hours apart.

Actually I don't think forheavendial4999 has a dog in this fight, but instead is an impartial and knowledgeable follower of D3 baseball.

three straight wins isn't it? Last of the 2 game series in the regular season and twice in the tournament. Way to go Captains and Coach Harvell!

Yeah buddy! CNU gets it done...
