Since we don't have football to look forward to till the spring, let's all take a second to laugh at this little contradiction from BW's website:

Most Wins in the OAC
On the field, BW has a rich, winning tradition. In the 113-year history of football at the University, the Yellow Jackets have compiled an all-time record of 590-345-30 - good for a .647 winning percentage. The 590 wins are the second most of any current OAC-member school.

OAC releases Spring Schedules for fall Sports:

https://oac.prestosports.com/MISC/COVID-19_2020/Fall_sports_springs_schedules

East Division:
BWU
JCU
Marietta
Mount
Muskingum

West Division:
Capital
Heidelberg
ONU
Otterbein
Wilmington

Four game schedule (play division teams)

Then 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 5v5

I know these divisions are purely geographic, but they are horrifically unbalanced lol
As long as the west #1 doesn't try and claim OAC runner up....

Fans of W&L

I apologize to all of you for a post I put on the OAC board. I thought I was being funny but instead I was just being stupid. I don't mind the negative k's but I DO mind if I offended anyone.
I deleted the post. 🚽

Don't be such a softy MUC. It was a fine joke, probably got dinged from those vindictive John Carroll posters. Half a mind to ding you for being a weenie though 😂 8-)
I would never dream of dinging MUC  8-)

Capital is rebranding and they need a new nickname.  Do your thing.  Wrong answers only, please.
They could adopt the name of the Washington hockey team, and be the Capital Capitals

But let's be realistic -- even with the budget deficit applying to 2019-20, it would be wise to consider the possibility that expenditures might be more conservative in 2020-21. If we're spending the rainy day fund now, as we should, I'm sure the powers that be will want to start rebuilding it.

I would not be surprised at all to see championship expenditures played closer to the vest in 2020-21.

Yes ... but they put money into the reserve every year from the budget as I understand it. Do they put more in? Possibly, but I suspect they will do everything they can to avoid having that cause changes to championships. Would they maybe limit one flight? Possibly, but we wait for that to happen every year. That's nothing new.

Just a complete outsider's opinion, but expecting the NCAA to spend $ on D3 during uncertain financial times is probably not a good bet.  I'm leaning towards a tighter belt this fall.  Assuming we get to have a fall 2020 season......
kind of agree. Not saying I think the playoffs will be pared down at all, but I think seeing a SIAC-NWC first round game and a hypothetical UMHB and Hardin Simmons first round game would be a possibility to save one flight.

My condolences to the John Carroll community, especially my friends "JCUStreaks70" and "bluestreak66", on the death of Don Shula. The stadium at JCU carries his name and his memory will always be a part of the university. What a career - John Carroll and the Miami Dolphins. A true legend.
Rest in eternal peace, Coach Shula. ✝

Hey, at least we let you tailgate.
How ya been, big guy? Haven't heard from you or little brother for a while.
Stay safe and stay well! 😷 🍺
I've been doing pretty well, all things considered. In a bit of despair due to the lack of everything lol!
Stay safe!

Mark Emmert announced that all NCAA winter and spring championships are cancelled.  What a shame for this extraordinary group of seniors.  As a fan I'm upset.  I can't imagine the heartbreak in that locker room that their season is over.
I feel for the Mount team. They had a great season, and I think a good chance to win it all

Out of curiosity, if John Carroll and Albion had been flipped in the final RR, does anyone think John Carroll may have gotten selected?

How many OAC teams do we think will be in the tournament this year? I'd say Marietta and Mount Union are pretty safe bets. Short of a surprise team winning the tournament, I think it will only be those two. It looks like it will be a fun last two weeks seeing where the top two sort out, where 3-7 sort out, and who will sneak in as the last team in the conference tournament!

At Howard Street Inn (a cool little sports bar in Niles, IL), there is a large UW-Whitewater flag permanently displayed. They actually have flags for dozens of schools displayed. Surprisingly, that's the only DIII one.

4 from the OAC so far:

Mount Union will host Westminster (PA)
Heidelberg will host Adrian
Ohio Northern will host Denison

John Carroll travels to Ithaca for a one game series.

Not related to 2020, but John Carroll has their non-conference scheduled through 2024. They have a home-and-home with Washington and Jefferson in 21-22, followed by a home-and-home with UW-Whitewater in 23-24
