Way to go Grizzlies, 42-10 win over Adrian. Looking like they'll be headed down to Texas next Saturday. I'm quite surprised at how one sided the game ended up. Hopefully that's a good sign for next week because we're going to need it.

Guess this a note for the d3football.com staff for a bit more love...  3 or 4 teams in the HCAC could play with MIAA champ.  One of them can crush them as it seems.
I don't know if I'd go quite that far. Obviously Franklin took care of business, Hanover might keep it close, then who? I don't think anyone else would be within 2 scores.

Lakeland finally wins 113-112 in triple overtime. I think I know what's going to happen at the next Lakeland practice... I saw so many missed FT in the last couple overtimes that it looked like Shaq was out there.

I almost went with an all HCAC pick after picking Earlham for winless... I thought about taking Transylvania for unbeaten but didn't have faith in a conference-mate winning every game. Now I'm glad I didn't as Transy stumbled out of the starting blocks 67-41 to Catholic

Wow... I'm the only person 2-0 after UMPI won... it's such a different view than I had last year looking up at everyone from the bottom all season ;D
Had to get this in now because I expect to come crashing back to earth very soon.

By the way, and I don't know if it was already mentioned, but DC is installing Field Turf....finally!

Happy to see all the upgrades at DC.

Does that leave Womanchester as the lone grass field?
I believe Bluffton is still all natural as well

The numbers that stand out to me are the number of seniors for Transy (7) and Rose (5) while no one else has more than 3. And Manchester has just one player that's not a freshman or sophomore.

2012 Division III playoffs feature four previous Stagg Bowl Champs

Mount Union
Wittenberg
Widener
Heidelberg

I know the Berg won the Stagg back when it was a regional game but still.  It is technically a fact though.
I think you missed Linfield (2004) facing Pacific Lutheran (1999)... unless they don't count because they're on the west coast

It's official. Franklin is headed north to take on Adrian. Should be a good game in what appears to be a 4 vs 5 matchup. Going to be a long trip for the winner to most likely Mary Hardin-Baylor

Selection Sunday maybe not the best time to discuss this ... but going to start a running brainstorm of things that should be included in the Year in Review. Totally not complete yet, and if you are one of the fans who follows what's happening outside your own team (aka the awesome D3 fans who actually check this particular thread), please quote and add to it. I will use it later as a starting point for the annual (most years) column.

Definite:
Sam Durley 736 passing yards
Baldwin-Wallace suspension
SRSU vs. TLU (and all the scoring in ASC)
Craziest Pool C ever
Bethel-Concordia ending

Maybe:
Dutchman's Shoes & Cortaca Jug endings

I'm sure there's a gabillion more things but just trying to get it started (Hammer, uh-oh uh-oh)
I think UWW going 7-3 after 3 straight titles and 7 Stagg Bowls in a row has to be in there somewhere

Football season is (just about) over and basketball season is about to start. Earlham kicks things off on Thursday which starts off a 2 week stretch for the conference of at least 1 game every day but Thanksgiving.
Transy starts the season off ranked 16th, Rose #30
Let's hope this season ends later than the first round of the NCAA tournament :)
