If you want to be on a specific board, go to that board, and hit the Reply button. That will add you to the bottom of the list.

There are more than a dozen schools in D-III whom we classify as independents. In the South Region, however, now that Maryville is in the USAC, there's just Huntingdon. Next year LaGrange will add football and it is independent as well.

One would think a W&L student/grad could figure anything out.

Much as April may sometimes wish she could, she doesn't 'hate' IWU - it is closer to grudging respect (in fact, I seem to recall her saying it was even her second favorite CCIW bball team).

I don't think that's particularly accurate anymore, and I don't blame her. It may have been at one point, but I'd be fairly certain it isn't now.

General football / Re: D-3 Players in the Pros
« on: September 01, 2005, 09:17:29 pm »
Well, that's a great question. But you have to look at it in two ways.

1) Does Cottrell even get a look if he doesn't share the name of a NFL coordinator?

2) Does Cottrell even get a look if he doesn't have an NFL coordinator in his immediate family to give him advice and expert coaching and motivation to make him a better player?

I expect the answer is a combination of the two.

Wesley is also still miffed about last years snub by the ecac. I know Pat, But if the motivation works !!!

Actually, I thought that was a pretty valid gripe. Wesley should have been in over McDaniel, esp. considering McDaniel's players ending up walking out and leaving basically a shell of a team to get shellacked by Albright.

General Division III issues / Re: greyshirting
« on: September 01, 2005, 08:12:39 pm »
Acceptable? Apparently. Common? Not sure. I first heard about it in basketball last year.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. Smacks of schools upset about losing redshirting trying to get around it.

By the way, there is no NCAA 100-man roster limit. Anyone with a regular-season roster limit in Division III is either having it imposed by the conference or by the school administration. There is a roster limit in playoff games of 52 players.
