And yet another big play given up by SLU.  70 yard reception allowed.  That's now a 68 yard TD, 35 yard TD, 41 yard reception and now 70 yard reception.  This team is just not good this year.  I expected a drop off but not this bad.

PHEW !!!... Final from our nation's capitol Union 31-21 over Gallaudet. I don't know what was said to the Union O-Line at halftime but in a gut check they opened running space for Backups Derek Khnaizer and Travis Demby. Nick Cascione had maybe his best game throwing for four TDs against Gallaudet's suspect secondary.  The Bison have a very solid , diverse offense with plenty of playmakers. I underestimated them. I predict they will win their share of games in the ECFC.

Congrats to Union on a hard earned win this afternoon down in D.C. against a scrappy athletic Gallaudet team. The Dutchman faced adversity blowing a 17 point lead with a tiring O-line and stagnant offense in the 2nd quarter.  However that same O-line came out in the second half and helped the Dutchmen get back on track. Cascione was very inconsistent today but made some solid throws when needed. Union continues to move forward and gain some confidence through overcoming adversity and getting their first road win since 2013.

Gonna be a long year for this SLU squad.  Getting pulverized by a freshman QB.

Just realized I was posting my in game comments on the wrong thread. Union leads Curry 3-0 at halftime in an ugly game so far.

Curry drives the field and scores to now lead Union 7-3. Time for another Dutchman gut check drive.

Union kicks a FG but a PENALTY on Curry (pf, hitting the center) gives Union an automatic 1st down. Brett Waller takes it in from 9 yds on the next play.  17-7 Union

Union gives up a late TD but recovers the onside kick and runs out the clock. FINAL 17-14...For the second week in a row the Dutchmen let a 3 point halftime lead slip away before responding for two TDs. Union may have found a RB with Soph Brett Waller taking charge in the 4th quarter. A bizarre and questionable late TD run from Waller was called back after Waller raised his arm in the air while crossing the goal line. The refs flagged him for taunting (BS) and the ball was placed on the 15. WR Griffan Beal and Waller sparked the Union comeback.
