Every year since they opened up the playoff invites, there has always been a school that makes the Championship for the first time.

Millsaps, Texas-Tyler, Heidelberg are all candidates to keep this going

Are there any schools that may get an invite that have NEVER been to the NCAA post-season? That might make for some interesting side-stories as we head into the final few weekends.
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

Texas-Tyler is an example

From my watch list, add:

Beloit, Fredonia, Franklin, Loras, Washington and Jefferson, Theil.

John Carroll, Curry, Ketstone, and Penn State Behrend have been just once.

I certainly could have missed someone (I missed Shenandoah so I would not be surprised that I did).

Dont think Bethany Lutheran has been there either, a definate possibility with messes in the MIAC and WIAC

Reflecting some home team bias and an unending love for the underdog, the regional champions will, in my opinion, be:

Mideast:  Wooster
Midwest:  Wisconsin-Whitewater
New England:  Wheaton (MA)
West:  Pomona-Pitzer
South:  Millsaps
Central:  Beloit
New York:  Rochester
Mid-Atlantic:  Johns Hopkins
A walk is never as good as a hit!

It is possible to get a championship round with all first timers.  This is an example that is not too far from reality.

Mideast:  Heidelberg
Midwest:  St. Scholastica
New England:  Curry
West:  Pomona-Pitzer
South:  Millsaps
Central:  Illinois Wesleyan
New York:  Rochester
Mid-Atlantic:  Keystone

I would submit that Curry is not a contender the likes of EastConn (TEE- The Evil Empire in my world), Sullen Maine, or Father, Son, & Holy Ghost.

I doubt Curry even makes it out of the TCCC.

Wordsmith- that's a pretty absurd statement I think.

Curry has got a pool C bid locked up unless they really tank down the stretch. They are 28-4 overall and shutout Wheaton 5-0. Even if they end 30-7, or 30-8, they are in i think.

Absurd, who me?

Seriously, I was not commenting on whether they should or should not get a Pool C, although I believe a case could/should be made for WPI, if they can finish strong. They swept Wheaton this weekend, they beat Trinity, and they split with St. Joe's early in the season. Yes, we can talk about a couple of 'bad' losses.

Curry has a Wheaton win and a spilt vs WNEC as to quality victories.

Sorry but WPI would get a Pool C over Curry in my book, at least at this point. Since we aren't passing them out for another couple weeks only time will tell.
