We are still 16 days away from the first Regional Rankings (April 24, 2019).

Here is the link to the Handbook:

It will be interesting to see how the committee handles the teams out here on the archipelago (otherwise known as the West Region.)

Right now, there are 5 West Region teams in the Top 25 (which is not a criterion), plus we have the Pool A bid from the Northwest Conference.

I can see the SCIAC teams going after each other again (Chapman and Cal Lutheran, one a Pool A, the other a Pool C).

Then I can see the NWC Pool A being flown to the SCAC Pool A bid and the ASC Pool A bid hosting the SCAC Pool C bid.

One other scenario would require the 2-team playoff if there were a travel orphan in the South Region. Texas could host a 4-team pod if the NWC Pool A bid were flown to Texas and a Texas team earned a Pool C bid.

From the Handbook, the official mileage calculator:

Quote
"The NCAA Travel Expense System mileage calculator will be used to confirm distance from campus to campus."

Cal Lu has a lot of work to do if they want to even think about a postseason appearance.

I'm surprised said mileage calculator is not sponsored by someone...
