Does anybody know why there is no Weekly Release for the CC or why they didn't have the weekly coaches conference today?

RedDevil, I was at the Hopkins game last week. Hopkins out played F&M it every way. Best game they have played so far. On offense F&M was on their heels from the start, had alot of trouble with the pressure from the Hopkins D. Although F&M defense looked good on paper before the game, they either didn't show up or you can't take numbers alone into consideration. Hopkins offense did pretty much what ever they wanted to

Thanks, I never would have guessed F&M would have had that much trouble.

Me either, it was quite a surprise was expecting the game to be much closer

That makes three of us. I thought Hopkins could win but never in such a blow out fashion. Hopkin's defense is good but I thought the Dips would be able to put up points on them. Maybe that is where a better running game would have helped F & M.

Mates,

I was surprised that Fand M got hammered by the Jays; I expected a  closer  game. I knew that JH  could play some good defense( having seen them  hold DelVal for 3 qtrs, listened to them hold Dickinson's
explosive offense  down) but I thought Harrison would float some bombs to Eager and another receiver or two. I felt that Kase was going out (last home game) with a bang and he has been running very well
in recent games (closeer to 200 yds than 100 per game). I can see Hopkins beat DelVal in a rematch in the playoffs and hope we do.
Meanwhile, the CC suffers from a tough road to Salem,  because it starts out in Dover,Del.,home of perenniel power Wesley, runs to the toughest team in   the South (often found in Texas) and just for good measure, requires a midway stop against another hot Southern team on a once in 25 year streak. The '07 Mules, a very good team, won 1 game in the tournament after an unbeaten CC season, only to get handled by Wesley, who beat them more
emphatically in'08. It will be a wonderful surprise to see a CC team make it to the final 4,much less the finals.

Scheduling conflicts prevented the conference office from conducting the normal Tuesday morning press conference.

It is always a tough game against the Greyhounds.  The favored Mules got shellacked last year and just to rub it in, my pet Greyhound ate the couch!

Picks:
JH
Gettysburg
Dickinson
Mules - How about some trickery, like a reverse or end around?
Leb Val
Susquehanna

Go Mules!

After reading everything on this website, Daily Dose, other boards etc. It appears that Dickinson could be on the outside looking in for the playoffs despite the potential of finishing the season 9-1. Hopefully they are wrong and the Red Devils get a plan C bid. Hate to see the season coming to end on Saturday against Ursinus.

Hopkins is ranked #10 in the South region.  If they win the CC and the AQ, that will bump out one of the top 8 ranked teams.  W&J?  Dickinson?

Wabash losing would be huge. Very possible as well. Wouldn't hurt for W&J to lose to waynesburg but I don't think thats going to happen

Waynesburg is 5-4 and W & J  is 8-1,so not likely. What bothers me is that W & J would probably get the nod over the Devils because of their past reputation in the NCAA playoffs. However, if you look at the PAC, they have dominated that conference for years until Tommy More beat them the last two years. You can't tell me the PAC is a stronger conference top to bottom than the CC. I don't buy it, especially this year. Hopkins, Dickinson and F & M have had great seasons. Two years ago Dickinson got left out with an 8-2 record but at least got to play in an ECAC game.

I have to agree that the CC is very strong this year. IF Dickinson wins tomorrow and get left out of the playoffs I would feel robbed. CC doesn't usually get respect come selection sunday. Time for that to change.
