Well, saw a tweet from transfer Caleb Eagans that he will be staying for next fall. Guess that makes sense when you're starting masters #2. Might as well try to finish it lol.

Happy to have the Roos back in the fold.

Is it weird that the press release specifically mentions that they will be a member for 4 years? Perhaps that is a standard agreement that is hopefully extended in the future but it was funny to mention that it so clearly mentioned.

I assume most of you guys listen to the podcast but if not they interviewed the Simpson College coach and he verified that the series against UMHB is still on just delayed a year so they will come down here in 2021 and UMHB will go there in 2022.

Gives the rest of the league some assurance that they won't have to schedule two OOC games per season for a while, barring something unusual happening.

Let the countdown begin, only 173 or 180 days until we can...hopefully see some ASC football games.

Another four-year affiliate agreement, this one between the ASC and Southwestern/TLU:

Saw this article about former Cru player Santos Villarreal, sounds like has had a hard time after graduation. Looks like some good news though!

Congrats (and thanks) to UMHB, who are partnering with Harris County to bring the Stagg Bowl back to Texas in 2024:  https://d3football.com/notables/2020/10/stagg-bowl-will-break-the-mold

Would have to believe that the Harris County - Houston Sports Authority will do a better job promoting the Stagg than the amateur hour in Shenandoah did.  The stadium seats 10K (another 1300 can be added) which should be plenty.

Can't say I have any clue what the HCHSA is but they already look more legit than the Shenandoah bid did so that is good. The field looks good, I like the size and still think that Canton and the Navy field are going to make even the best Stagg Bowl crowds look small.

Not sure how you can solve the problem of filling seats at a Texas Stagg Bowl if non Texans teams are playing but hopefully we won't have to find out haha

If you have a look at their web site - https://www.houstonsports.org/ - they are responsible for bringing major events to venues like the Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park, and the NRG Stadium.   NCAA Final Four in 2023 is just one of the events they are responsible for.   Surprising they got in on something as relatively small as a D3 championship, to be honest, great job by UMHB getting them interested.

So I was bored today... Looks like the Cru has their 2020/2021 roster up (not sure how long).

https://cruathletics.com/sports/football/roster

Interesting notes:

No Aaron Sims
No Marquis Duncan
KJ Miller back
Gary Ruckman's Younger brother is now at UMHB, they're big in that family, he is listed as a 6'4" 300lb offensive lineman.

My best guess would be saving money and hours. Today's fiancial aid packages only give money for classes going toward your degree. so you can't just take extra classes to be full time and get aid for them.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.
