Full paragraph dedicated to John Carroll from Adam Shefter's 10 Spot on ESPN today.
http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyPage=10spot-12week20

Here's the part of interest:

3. Unlikely influence: It's hardly thought of as a football hotbed like Michigan or USC, but few schools are as well represented in the NFL's final four as John Carroll University. The offensive coordinators for the 49ers and Patriots, San Francisco's Greg Roman and New England's Josh McDaniels, attended John Carroll. So did the directors of player personnel for the Falcons and Patriots, Atlanta's David Caldwell and New England's Nick Caserio. Even teams not in the playoffs have John Carroll ties: Jacksonville has hired Caldwell as its general manager, and San Diego hired John Carroll graduate Tom Telesco as its general manager. Must be something in the water in University Heights, Ohio, where the school's football stadium is named after Don Shula, another famous alum. All that's missing from these playoffs is Washington advancing further than it did with Redskins linebacker London Fletcher, who also starred at John Carroll.

Notre Dame may have a better academic reputation than my alma mater (Akron U), but at least my internet friends are real people. :o
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible- but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Good point.  Take, for instance, "Theaprof".  Somebody with a handle like that has to be acting, right?

I have witnessed Theaprof's wing eating ability.  Oh he's real............he is SO real!   ;D

We used to think his handle meant he gave "A's" to everyone, but then learned he is a theater professor at Mount.

HSCoach  just wanted to say Akron has nothing to be ashamed of, you don't steal your traditions like they do at a certain school down here in columbus. Akron is a fine unversity and I always enjoy visiting especially too watch a football game in that beutifull facility you have on campus now(especially if it is my Bobcats paying).

I have been told that the Raider Rally is Monday, February 4 at 6:00 p.m. in the Hoover Price Campus Center.  Check with the Alumni Office to be sure.

I'm so glad HScoach wasn't proven to be some 20-something young woman posing as an ex football coach, turned married broadcaster.

Anyone have any news about potential recruits for the fall? From past years we do not see any lists, just word of mouth! :-\

Little early for that.  D1 signing date is Feb 6.  Then lower divisions will grab the players that don't sign D1.  Probably not till later in the spring.
