If anyone is looking for a podcast to listen to check out the Teacher Coach episode with Mike Fuline.  The hosts are TK Griffith (Hoban boys HC) and Scott Callaghan (legendary Wadsworth girls HC).  It was interesting hearing Fuline's story (and they covered it all).  Especially interesting was hearing Fuline talk about his relationship with LK, getting the job at Mount and recruiting.  I was already a huge fan, but it made me like Fuline even more.

I found it at tkgriffith.com

I just saw an email today from Mount Union saying that they are planning on opening up this fall for school on campus. That's a good place to start for now.

Plus they just announced this afternoon at the daily briefing that all high school sports can begin in-person training on May 26th.  Includes, but not limited to weight training, agility training and other conditioning.  I would think this would apply to Ohio colleges too?  Who knows though maybe not if colleges have kids coming from out of state.

Listened to this the other night. It was a great listen for any Mount Union or Stark/Summit County area sports fans.

That is goid. But they also  have to follow strict guidelines including physical distancong, equipment wipedowns in. between each person's use, etc. I assume the coaches and administrators have worked out or are in the process of working out those stipulations for easy implementation of the programs.

This is what I found so far from Twitter only on guys saying they will attend Mount Union next year. Remember, there is no such thing as committing to Mount Union because there is no binding financial agreement. Guys can still go somewhere else if they want. This is just a list to keep us junkies going until summer camp. So far I really like the mixture of local and out of state guys.

I've listened to a couple more and enjoyed them.  I listened to the one with Jackie Windon (former Hoban girls and CWRU women's HC) yesterday while I was working.  I thought she had really good insight on how does someone who was as competitive as a player as she was approach coaching kids who don't have the same mentality.  Kids who don't go out for the HS team because they want to play college basketball.  I think that's something nearly all coaches can relate to.
