IMO, Muhlenberg doesnít belong in the top 15. From what I saw, if they play in the CCIW, MIAC, OAC or WIAC they arenít even in the playoffs.

Also, after watching the Aurora vs SJU game... Iíd put Aurora in the top 15. Up 10 with 4min to go and should have won. They were better than Muhlenberg for sure.

Muhlenberg loses their playoff game with North Central 45-14 and they don't belong in the top 15. UW-Whitewater loses to North Central 41-14 and they just run into a buzz saw and should be #2 in the final poll.

Masseys ratings as of now has Muhlenberg 4th, ahead of UW-W, St. John's and MHB. Hanson ratings currently shows Muhlenberg 8th. Simulating games on Massey shows us these results.

Muhlenberg 21, UW-W 17
Muhlenberg 28, St. John's 24
Muhlenberg 24, MHB 17

The AFCA voters definitely respect that the Mules were 13-1. Win-loss record traditionally is the overwhleming factor in where the AFCA voters rank teams.

They apparently also respect Mt Union at #7, but that doesn't really fit Mr. Credibility's narrative so we shouldn't mention it.  8-)

I personally donít put any validity to computer rankings. Muhlenberg didnít pass the eye test when they had the opportunity on a national stage.

I think the three best teams this year were Wheaton, NCC & Mount Union. Wheaton decided to play their worst fans if the year in the elite 8. After the top 3...I think thereís a drop off.

Just one mans opinion.

Where would you put Muhlenberg? If they would drawn SJU or UWWís draw...how far do they go?

Wet blanket alert.  I read that NCC's star RB, who this year led D3 in rushing yards, total O, and TDs, is a D1 transfer.  The Purple Raiders have historically relied on D1 transfers to win national championships.  There is a clear difference between D1 and D3 talent in football.

Their QB and Gagliardi winner is also a D1 transfer as well as a couple others.  Wheaton had at least 5 D1 transfers this year. Itís much more prevalent than ever before to transfer. Definitely not unique

I think you will see more and more transfers to NCC and Wheaton w the success they are having. If we are honest, kids want to go to scholarship schools out of HS and itís hard to convince a family to come play D3 ball for 45k and up.

Great that the CCIW is getting some solid transfers. Itís how D3 is won.

Congratulations to Broc Rutter for receiving an invitation to play at the 74th Hula Bowl All Star Game on 1/26/20.  The game is currently scheduled to be televised live on CBS with a 9:30 p.m. CST kickoff.

Incorrect.  Greenfield graduated from Lakes High School in 2018 and was a regular contributor last year as a freshman.

Im guessing he meant star WR. He was a D2 transfer. Rutter was 1-AA.

This is also comically false so it looks like this is just an all around excellent post by Mark.

I did not fact check the announcer during the championship game when he said Greenfield transferred from Indiana State.  The announcer was wrong as the transfer from Indiana State was QB Rutter.  Not sure what your point is as Rutter, the Gagliardi winner, solidifies my position about D1 transfers.  I did not fact check in years past the Mount Union roster when the announcer mentioned during the televised championship games that xxx player transferred from "Ohio State" and other D1 programs.

There definitely was one offensive lineman who transferred from Ohio State. So that's one player in the past 20 years. What else you got for this list?
