Looking forward to the DIII Nationals in LaCrosse, WI. Those who haven't seen the facility will be awed by the beauty.  The new stadium is nestled in the center of campus, with a beautiful backdrop of the coulees...specifically Grandad's Bluff.   It truly is a beautiful sight  I hope you can all make it to my home state for the meet.   Should be a good run and hopefully some fast times.  Let's just hope our long awaited Wisconsin spring has arrived!
Heard the stadium was beautiful from one of the North Central girls who ran on Thursday. I am also hoping for some nice weather to wrap up another great season!

Had a great time at Nationals-some amazing individual perormances. The stadium is beautiful-even better than some D1's I've seen.

CBSsports.com listed its "Speed Freaks" for NCAA football (all divisions). Number two is a DIII sprinter from Wisconsin Eau Claire.  Lots of other thin clads from across the nation make the list too.  Nice to see.  Now the argument rages...is track speed different than football speed?  Or is fast, just fast.

Yes there is definitely a difference between track and football speed. The one thing you notice about that list is there are no LB's listed. If you go to the ustfccca.org website you'll see two LB's listed in the top four of the 400 m hurdles. one from army and one from north central.I don't know how big the army kid was, but the north central kid is 6'2, 210(dropped 15 lbs from fb). he was also 18th on the list for the 110 hurdles and clocked a 48.4 in the 4x4 relay. Not too bad for a big guy :)

World Championships on NBC today at 11:30.  USATF has a schedule on its site.  Unfortunately most of the action will be on Universal Sports cable.... :-\. Why are Worlds less TV attractive than the Olympics? If only I ran the networks.........  If anyone has thoughts on the results please share
