People complain about MUC always being in the Stagg Bowl. Alabama at FBS and NDSU at FCS not much different.
D2 I have no idea.

I was thinking about this as I skimmed through the NDSU game replay yesterday evening.  Seven championships in eight years.  I would be interested to see a financial analysis on program spending.  Surely the oil money in ND is providing significant football entertainment.  If only there was that much money in cheese and cheep beer, eh?

Wow.  Clemson crushed Alabama.  That wasn't expected.  Clemson came fired up and ready to play, though, and that makes a huge difference.  Alabama looked like they expected to be crowned in a simple ceremony.  Oops.

Northwest Missouri State, especially, and Grand Valley State have had pretty good runs over/during the last 20 years or so.  Not quite as much as Bisons.

Johnnie wrestlers to take a break from the madhouse of southern Minnesota and head north to recharge the batteries in Godís Country.

Josh Parks will indeed return next fall for his senior season. Great news for Tommie Fans!

Maybe he can run for 300 yards in a loss to the Johnnies this year.  :P

That very well could happen. However, we will probably have the consolation of owning the second largest crowd for (as well as the largest) home game attendence in D3.  ;D

He also uses both a ‘P’ and an ‘s’ when spelling his last name.  So he’s got that going for him. Which is nice.

So how bad are the withdrawal pains in your life? I've stooped to watching the NFL playoffs to get a fix. But it's not the same.

Looking forward to another season of D3/MIAC football. It's gonna be a crazy/wild/tough year as the top 3 schools compete for the top spot in the conference.

I've shifted my focus a bit to basketball and, to a lesser degree, hockey. I took the kids to the Hamline games on Saturday. Sat behind Coach Caruso's family.
I've got no rooting interest in the NFL so I'll watch the Super Bowl and nothing else.

Still need to get to my first UST hockey games for the year.

What is this "hockey" you speak of?

We just have basketball down here right now, and I'm mostly indifferent to it despite both UMHB squads playing well this year.

Looks like that record is going to fall.  The Cortaca Jug game (Ithaca vs. Cortland) is already claiming 30,000 tickets spoken for as of a month ago.

Getting back to real business, I have a Red Alert mostly for Johnnies:
If you go to: officebud-e.com you can get  a smart beer cooler. This must have product has a low stock alert which notifies your adult beverage outlet and it will automatically be restocked.
The only downside is that it has a capacity of just 180.   ;)

Cheapest ticket is only $15. May need to buy one to help them in their push to 38k.

Here's a good off-season time waster.  The final quarter of a post-season game between Hawthorn and Adelaide 2007 from an AFL feature called Fourth-Quarter Thrillers.
