Most surprisingly impressive performance for the Johnnies - Dylan Cerney. The crew of Udoibok and Barber, pounders with enough speed, and Trost and Cerney, slashers with enough grind, points to a successful ground game. That bodes well for the playoffs when weather can dictate a run heavy offense.

Wow, Minnesota is up to 7th.  When is the last time MN was ranked in the top 10, much less this late in the season?

'Minnesotans' will start rowing the boat and crowd surfing the players with relish if this continues.

Art76 -Looking forward it appears the Bethel vs UST is the game of the week. Bethel controls their own destiny. Win & they should be in the playoffs, lose and both UST & Bethel are on the outside looking in with 2 losses.

Unfortunately, I don't know that this is the case. Bethel might not even make it to the board in Pool C discussions if they get slotted behind Wartburg in the regional rankings. It's going to be an interesting final week of the regular season.

Just wondering out loud, when's the last time a 1 loss MIAC co-champ didn't make the playoffs? Has to be before the current playoff format correct?

Man, big time boat rowing.

This article at ESPN (https://www.espn.com.au/college-football/story/_/id/28043552/college-football-power-rankings-week-11) says:

Minnesota is 9-0 for the first time since 1904, it has won 11 consecutive games for the first time since 1939-40, and it is 6-0 in Big Ten play for the first time since 1961....

It was the sixth time Minnesota has won a game as an underdog under coach P.J. Fleck, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. He is only the ninth FBS coach in the past 40 seasons to have six victories as an underdog at one school. Only former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer (2012-18) and TCU's Gary Patterson (2004-05) have more, with seven.

My hope is that PJ sticks around for the long haul to build a legacy here rather than take the $$ and run to a bigger program....

Didn't John always say something about how opponents "don't just pull guys out of the corridor"? Looks like the Johnnies almost did precisely that! Sounds like an interesting story. Kummer came to SJU to play QB/DB, then decided not to play his junior year, but somebody somehow remembered he had a powerful leg and kicked in high school, and WHAMMO, the next thing we know he's going 10 for 10 on XPs!

Very welcome performance.  Fasching had some interesting comments on his post-game interview.  It's not like Kummer was an unknown quantity, having played on the team the last two years. So it's not exactly like having an "all school" tryout that he won.

BUT - not sure what it says that you can have a roster "full of" kickers and a guy who wasn't even a kicker the two years he was on the roster walks in in mid-November and wins the kicking job!! Scary.

I see they also had kickoffs from freshman Reese Marek from nearby (to me) Waunakee WI.  Waunakee is a perennial power in Wisconsin and I'm sure the kid kicked in plenty of "big" games.
