Hey Kingsman4 (and others) -- I was just yanking your chains!  Really my point is that Cal Lu seems like a pretty good team to me -- at least the day I watched them, tired from the bus trip and all. Grin

The difference between the 2008 & 2009 WU teams?  Hmmm.... Forshey, Garcia, Grant Leslie, the Woo (Merben) factor, Grove, Piros and many others.  Mostly the big trees on the O-line and the difference between a Sr. and two freshmen QB's.  The WU team this year is good, but young, most will be back -- that's the good news!!  Also, I still think the WU-Linfield game could've gone either way!  3 points!

It will take some major upsets for the Bearcats to get a playoff bid this year due to the Concordia loss.  Would love to see it happen -- probably won't!   We all know that on the "left coast" you have to be the AQ to be in the playoffs.  I also think WU should drop LaVerne and play Redlands or Oxy in the regular season for a better SOS ranking (or whatever we call it now).

It was a tough night for the team and photography

The pictures are great, and thanks. If there's one with me in it, then I'm happy.

But... from a fan's POV it is amazing how that whole stadium changes when you shoot from the Occidental side of the field. The contrast in uniforms looks great.

I am flabbergasted the OXY staff did not take my advice and run Haller.
11 carries? 22 yards? He!!, Saunders had 10 carries.

The winning team did take my tip and got Stuart the ball 28 times for 164.

It was a tough night for the team and photography . . .  Anyway, here are some images from Saturday's loss to Cal Lu:

Pics looked fine to me, as always. Much better than mine at the same venue.

Dens,

There was no where for Haller to run . . . if Oxy's line were able to open holes it would have been a different game . . . but there was no daylight for Haller . . . at all.  Kingsmen D Line owned it.

I was (trying) to make the point CLU has traveled (by plane) to the NW and it should not affect them.
A team like LINFIELD should.

I got you D.O.C., and it will be an interesting matchup should it happen as you also stated with the home and home slated for next season.

Enough playoff talk/speculation for me, La Verne is the only thing that matters today!

Ya you sure did, and  the seniors this year no doubt remember that. Nothing like a little motivation.

I myself always loved playing redlands, maybe because of the over inflated tough guy muscles that never translated to big hits, or maybe because it was just easy to catch balls against them. Blocking redlands linebackers was like being in the middle of a big pillow fight :-)

Unfortunately I will only be able to watch and argue on d3boards to contribute this year... After we beat la verne on saturday.

Go lu!

Hahaha all in good fun, while still maintaining seriousness. I did talk a lot, it forced me to back it up going against guys twice my size...I believe that is the receiver complex
