I think the moral of the story is that if you have a beef with DC's column, perhaps you should e-mail him or Pat, or PM him or Pat.  Rather than just calling him out right here in front of everyone.  

Wow...really?  Look...no one insulted anyones wife/mother here.  This is a discussion board for god's sake.  This is PC (political correctness...not Pat Coleman) at the highest levels.  Now we cannot even call anyone out???  On a discussion board???  So if you tell me that Wick sucks...I shouldn't write back on here...I should just send a private message to Pat telling him that you were mean to me???

Yes, this is a discussion board about football, not the editorial standards of this website.  Do you think a newcomer (if they were reading this) to this board wants to read 6 pages of people arguing about whether the writer of a column is a homer or not?  That's the point.  This entire conversation was irrelevant.  

Dumbest thing I ever heard...don't discuss a weekly football column on the football forum.  Pretty sure the newcomer would pick up quick that he is a homer...but that he also covers a lot of area fairly.

Look, if you want to make a point about the teams, the play, the stoopid refs or coaching decision, on the field, off the field, or do the LLPP thing and talk about cheerleaders and stock tips, that's great. I think it's terrific. If you have a problem with my column, throw me a note on the ATE board, that's why I started it. Or e-mail at adam.samrov@d3football.com and I'll get it there, just put ATR in the subject line because it sometimes gets stuck in my junk folder.
Or e-mail Pat at pat@d3football.com if you believe I've made a mistake or have not been totally fair or whatever.
I don't think a noob is going to want to read six pages about the ATR columnist's "homerism," etc., they want to read about how Alfred and Ithaca are going to rock Butterfield tomorrow.

DC if you were from another league i would have made the same comment on here because this board is the only one i really look at...  I have no problem with your column i think its great.  There was no comment about anything other than a point about E8 games not cheerleaders or stock tips ( i know you were kidding)... there is nothing that could prompt me to write a PM to you or PC about being unfair on a column that you write... this is a discussion board not 2nd grade... its really not that big of a deal... this is crazy... i didnt agree with it i mentioned it and thats it?  i dont need to email Pat or you about how to correctly write a column because i have no idea how to... be happy that your column sparked this much debate ... Somehow the ref (and linesmen) apparently missed every one of her red-card-worthy infractions.

To their credit, UNM has suspended her 'indefinitely'.  Since I have trouble believing that no one from UNM saw ANY of her many infractions, I'd feel better about UNM if they had yanked her from the game, rather than suspending her only after the video went viral.

On the merits though....there is only one logical and reasonable way to read the subject quote...and Pep already stated it.  Clearly he meant that AU needs to finish the season.  This only makes sense in light of how AU has stumbled home for a decade....and especially since it has been a front and center topic on here all year.  Utica lover or not, do you really think he meant that Utica would be one of AU's toughest tests of the year?   6 pages of rippin DewCrew for that twisted bull**** opinion???

You are taking way too much offense my man...and I never said I had a problem with the column...just said you were a bit homerish sometimes, but never at the expense of reporting the rest of the leauges and a majority of the teams.  I have already said it a million times...I look forward to it every week and, again, I think you do a great job. 

Why would I ever write you or Pat a personal note?  Unless you start calling my wife a b1tch or call my mother a wh0re...why would I ever be offended by anything on the column?  We are all talking football and life on here...with a lot of wit and a lot of jabs, but nothing mean spirited or personal.  You do great work...but you also bust chops with everyone else on here.

You can change the arguement in mid-stream and now lean heavily on the new talking point that you are "concerned" about the "noobie's" coming too the board (like pg04 stated very, very late in the conversation)...that is fine.  But the bottom line is you complain about there being 6 pages of banter on the subject, without ever saying that you and Pat heavily contributed to it.  That is fine...what I learned from this whole thing is that you cannot a joke or a little bit of ribbing, and are someone that none of us can respond to with any type of jabs or joshing without you taking serious offense.  What you are asking for for this forum is that everyone comes on here and pretty much says "great column" or "great write up Dew Crew...and you are totally NOT homerish towards UC" as some sort of validation.

All told...lighten up my man...it's a football forum.  If you are worried about getting criticized or some ribbing from posters, maybe a social forum isn't the right place for you.  All told...its done...and in all seriousness, I look forward to next weeks column.
