IMO: after the first three Pool Bs, Chapman, WashU and York were not going to get Pool Cs if it comes to that.

I think your opinion is held by many

I noticed that on the blogs there was some support for CNU over York but it is important to know that The Pool B bids are for schools without an automatic bid.

Ralph - I hope you agree with me that if a Pool B team does not make it in in Pool B they have little chance in the Pool C
I agree.  Pool B is much weaker than it was about 4-5 years ago.  Emory did not have as good of a year as they might have had.

They lost the bid when they were swept in a late season DH by Methodist (IMHO).

On to those 13 Pool A bids folks have been knocking around

With 6 Pool B bids everyone gets evaluated in the big pool

The NCAA adds up the number of teams in the 35 Pool A conferences which was 303 this year.  That gave an access rati of 1:8.657.

They then divided that 1.8657 into 52 to get 6.006 bids, whichis truncated to 6.

Yes, Let's go.  13 Pool C bids that are open to everyone, but no Pool b schools will likely be good enough this year...Maybe next year.

I see our first selections coming from a few teams that were number one seeds in the conference championship but never made the championship game.

USM, Kean, and  Millsaps

Hard to disagree with those three.
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

This is how we see the Selection Committee will look at the regional rankings as they come in from each region. The d3baseball.com panel does not have the final regional rankings or the OWP/OOWP's.  The Pool A winners and the Pool B selections have already been taken off the board.

C -- IWU, SNC
MA -- Kean, MSU, Wilkes
ME -- Otterbein, Marietta
MW -- UST, UWW, UWO
NE -- USM, Curry, WPI, Wheaton MA
NY -- RPI, Rochester
S -- Millsaps, Shenandoah
W -- Cal Lu, Pac Lu

Those are off the table, and MSU Curry and Shenandoah move up.

I also see that Cal Lutheran, Pacific Lutheran, RPI, Shenandoah, and St. Thomas, get second life after losing in the championship round or a key series (Cal Lutheran) or a playoff (Pac Lutheran)

You have one week of your "19 weeks" to the season left and you have not used all of your 40 games.

Yes, and MSU which I know may have been in the first 3 off the board!

Cal Lutheran (SCIAC) and Pac Lutheran (NWC) did not have double-elimination post-season tourneys.

Sure.  Just as long as the schedule does not conflict.  I expect teams like WPI, etc played this weekend hoping for a boost

A note for all the lurkers out there -- you can register for the board by clicking the link at the top of the screen, underneath the logo.
