So we have one AQ so far in the SCAC: Trinity (Tex.).  We also have Salisbury as a Pool C in the CAC, and Amherst as a Pool C in the NASCAC.

AQ:

SCAC - Trinity (Tex.)

Pool C:

Salisbury
Amherst

Is it possible that the CAC will have three representatives in NCAA tournament, Salisbury, Stevenson, and York?

I'll bet it happens if Stevenson wins the AQ.

Jim, are you suggesting Amherst for Pool C (even though they've been eliminated from the NESCAC tourney) in addition to the NESCAC AQ and two other NESCAC teams still in the NESCAC tourney?

I am only noting that Amherst, as of right now, is a legit Pool C candidate.  Depending on the exact outcome of the NASCAC tourney, and the NEWMAC and LEC tourney, Amherest may or may not look like a candidate.

Note that I am only including teams as they enter Pool C.  Once the pool is "full", we'll all get a better picture of who might really have a chance to be selected.

I am a novice at this. What determines who gets into what pool?

See FAQ on the front page.

In a nutshell, winners of full-sized conferences are Pool A (in the event of a tie, the conference decides who is the A).

Pool B consists of independents and members of conferences who don't have a Pool A bid.

Pool C is the truly 'open' selection - everyone not selected by A or B is eligible for C.

Not too many upsets (yet).  Any Pool C teams missing from the list?

Scratch that.  Denison upsets top-ranked Ohio Wesleyan, 2-1 in 2OT, to win the NCAC tournament and auto-bid.  I don't follow D3 soccer, but I have to assume that OWU is a lock for a Pool C bid.
