Now 17 straight for Cowart - enough already, dude!    Of course, it might very well BE enough as MC will bring the top of the order up in the bottom of the 11th.

EDIT:  Three batters later MC gets the winning run on a single by McGee, scoring Smith.  Add Trinity (TX) to the two and done list.

I'm eagerly awaiting the IWU game.  Is anyone in Moline who can give me hope, or should I go clean the garage?! :o

Please, oh please, give me hope! ;D

Here's what Dave Wrath sent shortly before noon CT.

"The Illinois Wesleyan/Ripon game is postponed indefinitely. We will keep you posted. This could be a while as we are in a very slow moving weather cell."

Well, that is vague enough I guess I can stay near the computer! ;D

(I do NOT want to clean the garage. :P)

Sorry Ypsi,

Games postponed until noon on Friday...but feel free to blow off the garage anyway.

Do you need a doctor's note excusing you from potentially hurting your back, while cleaning the garage?

Or you could set up an alternate computer room with monitor and CPU and wireless connection to the ISP in your garage!   ;D

Hopkins battled out a 9-4 win versus Keystone today.

Keystone was definitely underseeded. Very good team and gave Hopkins all they wanted. They looked more impressive than both Rowan and Kean who are playing now.

Kean is saving #1 until tomorrow. Smart?

Am I correct in assuming that lights are a requirement for any field hosting a regional?

Anyone know if the Central plans just games 5, 6, and 7 for tomorrow, or will they try for four games to begin catching up?

The plan right now is three games on Friday, starting at noon, and four on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

in the Mideast...

MARIETTA is walking through the loser's bracket, as they send WOOSTER home 6-0, and are getting ready to end W&J's season, as they lead 9-1 in the 5th.

The bats are out in full force, which will be needed to win 4 more games after tonight!  And with rain in the forecast for the next few days, the pitching (which has only allowed 5 runs in 24 innings) should be able to get some rest for later in the tournament.

Ralph, in the Central, Ripon is not undefeated (the other three are).

As a Titan fan, I'm hoping that Ripon will be going home by about 2 pm CDT tomorrow! ;)
