Point is taking care of business today against Whitewater.  Up 12-4 in bottom of 9th.  Will Point have enough pitching left to take the title?  Their offense may need to carry them tomorrow.

Heidelberg beats PSU-B, 9-2.  Needs only 2 more wins to win regional.

Shenandoah University continues their hot hitting barrage with 19, 17 and 16 hits respectively in their first three games.

The Hornets (3-0) are waiting for LaGrange/Salisbury winner vs. Mary Washington winner tomorrow for South Regional title.

UST's up 6-5 in the bottom of the 6th against Carthage. I've been tweeting most of the game but here's a few key stats:

Tom Wippler is 2-for-3 with 2 home runs, 4 RBI and a walk. He has 5 HRs since the start of the MIAC tournament. 4 in elimination games.

UST is 10-0 in elimination games dating back to the 2009 Midwest Regional defeating: St. Olaf and UW-Stevens Point (regionals); Carthage and Wooster (Championship round); St. John's, Concordia-Moorhead, Augsburg (MIAC tournament).

Carthage is 2-2: Trinity (Conn.), Shenandoah; Losses to St. Thomas (all three in the Championship round); And lost to Ill. Wesleyan in the CCIW tournament last weekend.

The defensive replacements are in for St. Joseph's as they take a 1-run lead into the bottom of the 9th.
A walk is never as good as a hit!

Carthage loads the bases with two down in the 8th... trailing 6-5 vs St. Thomas.
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

The Central region site has updated the schedule.  Game 7 (IWU vs. winner of Webster/RHIT - now underway) will be tomorrow at 11, not tonite at 7 as previously listed.

That makes more sense - what used to be Friday is now Saturday, and Saturday has been moved to Sunday.  (Before I retired, I often wished I could do something like that with Mondays! ;D)

The Farmingdale SS may need a few hugs tonight ... three errors to allow four unearned runs in the 9th. Those were the only three Farmingdale errors in the game. That was hard to watch even on live stats.
