NCAA Invistigation into DIII
« on: January 21, 2015, 12:55:17 pm »
I read today that 20 NCAA schools are currently being investigated for academic misconduct. The good news is only one of which is a DIII school (18 DI and 1 DII). My curiosity is spiking as to which DIII school it is, and hopefully it's not a severe case.

According to the report, the cases being investigated are in various stages, from a preliminary inquiry, to schools waiting to hear back from the Committee on Infractions. Some of the alleged infractions concern athletes receiving impermissible assistance from professors, academic advisers or people not connected with an athletic department.

Seems like once a year we get news about a DIII football program getting dinged by the NCAA. Luckily it's been nothing serious.
