Should be a great afternoon at CNU. #1 CNU v #2 Salisbury in a double header.

Interestingly, this past Saturday at CNU a men's Lacrosse game was played featuring #1 Salisbury and #2 CNU.

2 schools battling it out in various sports. A true rivalry for sure!

Salisbury's won 17 in a row, CNU 8 straight, somethin's gotta give. (Lindsay Windsor and Jamie Martin are matched up in the opener. If things hold to usual form, that one should be a pitcher's duel.--on paper, anyway)

CNU sweeps SU 4-2 and 10-6. CNU had 10 hits in the first game but left 7 on base. Martin struck out 8. The 2 SU runs were unearned on errors.

The second game CNU also had 10 hits but this time they didn't leave many on base. The bats game alive as 5 of the 10 hits were extra bases (3 HR). At one point it was 10-3 and SU made it interesting in the top of 7th. They refused to give up. Martin came in again in the last 2 innings to pick up her first save of the year.

It was quite a battle in both games. CNU was down the entire fist game until that walk off HR by So. Greaver. CNU didn't lead until the bottom of the 4th in game 2.

But as the announcers indicated multiple times...this was a regular season matchup. Just 2 games. The conference tournament is in early May. Both teams will make the NCAA and then things become much more "real".

Anyone want to chime in regarding UAA squad's NCAA Tourney chances? (Figuring if U of Rochester wins the LL AQ, they're in anyway, but my question regards CWRU and Wash-MO. The latter two are at least ARV, but--).

Not that the NCAA cares but the NFCA got teams ranked 1,2,3,4,10 and 20 into the finals.  Appears they know what they are doing when it comes to ranking. 
Actually they could have done better but only one  team out of teams 2,5,6 and 7 could have advanced.
