Quote from: ADL70 on October 04, 2026, 10:55:58 AMCelebrate already one more win than 2025. Celebrate beating Thiel who won in 2025.

This thread has me laughing. ADL70, the "Official Celebration Distribution Specialist" of the PAC.

Lmao I know. I saw I had an alert to the post and was NOT expecting that as a reply lol

Quote from: Dr. Acula on October 03, 2026, 08:45:17 PMWTF is going on in Springfield?  I know Witt hasn't been their old selves recently, but holy crap.  This seems to be a legit disaster currently.

My thinking is it has to do with the state of the University. They've run into financial struggles with their endowment and it appears to now be affecting their football program.

Yeah my neighbor is an alumnus and she said she's heard the school is on its last legs and currently facing an existential crisis. She cited some reasons that are slightly inflammatory on here, I'm sure, but it's not good.

Frankly, the PAC is one of the few conferences in the country that are nearly geographically perfect.

Quote from: ADL70 on October 03, 2026, 10:30:02 PMBetter than the four teams you've played. They have one win between them.

Next Hiram faces 2-2 Geneva who monkey-stomped Bethany 42-14. Beat them and you'll have something to brag about.

Sorry - all enthusiasm over the first 4-0 start in 40 years will be suspended!

Okay... Hiram might be good?

Quote from: Bison Bill on September 29, 2026, 09:47:00 AMBethany still just has way too many penalties and silly mistakes.

If we get that cleaned up then we would be a much better team.

It's not just regular penalties either. It's stuff not showing up in stats. A stupid penalty that didn't effect the outcome of the play bringing back touchdowns and taking away interceptions (roughing passer etc)

Yes Geneva was probably better but that game was a lot more evenly matched than the score would indicate.

To be fair, I haven't seen Bethany play yet... but I think you may be underselling how good this Geneva team is, especially relative to the middle-bottom PAC teams. I wouldn't be surprised to see Geneva beat Westminster and at least play W&J close. But hey, maybe I'm wrong and, again, to be fair, you saw both teams play and I didn't

Anyone have a take on SFU? I know they had a 30 point loss, but there's some decent teams that could find themselves down to GC by 4+ scores...

In Hiram news, barring any injuries etc., Tejeda may be in a place to begin rewriting the Hiram record books to his name over the next couple weeks. Seems like a very nice, solid young man and I'm happy for him - hopefully he can get a 3-0 start to his name as well.

What's been the change with Bethany this year? Impressive showing, especially on the heels of a tough loss

Hiram actually has a significant game against Thiel in a couple weeks, as a win would give the Terriers their first 3-0 start in 40ish years...

Hiram played a very below average game and was still able to get a 4 TD win - I think that may say more about Oberlin than it does about the Terriers, but I'm still encouraged that Hiram can get itself firmly into the middle of the conference this year

I went out and watched Hiram practice a couple times in fall camp. Given the current state of Oberlin football, I think Hiram will be disappointed if this isn't at least a two score win. But we shall see!

^I'd love to enlist @patcoleman on this.
