Chapman Men's Soccer (ARV) travels to #7 Trinity-Texas (D3 rankings) for a Saturday contest.
Good opportunity for the Panther's to gain some more national recognition. CU also plays Southwestern on Sunday.

Jim Matson:
That is surely what Chapman needs; more matches against teams from outside California. As an independent, I think they really should be playing - testing themselves- against strong opponents, whenever possible. They have dome this a bit in the past and should ramp it up, even if some of the matches "don't count."

FYI Chapman is no longer an Indy, as they were accepted into the SCIAC this year, although not eligible for the auto bid. The only way into the tourney would be via a Pool C bid, which would mean that they would almost need to win all D3 games for any chance at all. And that could be a stretch. But, I can hope...right?

PS: Chapman plays a few of the NAIA schools iin Southern Ca (Golden State Athletic COnference, and travels to Wisc to take on UWW and UWSuperior., so they are reaching out, which I am glad to see.

Jim Matson:
If they are not eligible for the Poll A even if they win the conference, I wonder if they shouldn't still be considered as a Pool B candidate. I'll have to look into that.
