I originally thought there were only two, but commenters on my instagram post revealed there are two more.

1. Luther college (blue) - 2017
2. Marietta College (gray) - 2018
3. University of New England (blue) - 2018 (turf completed in 2010)
4. SUNY Morrisville (black) - 2023

Are there any others that I'm missing?

Given all the news surrounding water shortages in Jackson, could their game be cancelled??

This year, the Centennial Conference leads with 9 players followed by the American Southwest Conference (7) and a tie between the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (6) and the Southern Athletic Association (6).

Trinity (Tx.) leads the division in most all-americans in one team with 5 followed by a 3 way tie between Mount Union (4), Johns Hopkins (4), and Delaware Valley (4).

But Pat Coleman, why did Tyler Huettel, last year's first team all-american punter, get pulled to third team preseason?

General football / Monkeypox and coronavirus

Covid isn't going away and we now have a monkeypox outbreak. Will this affect d3 football this season?

Since the NCAA separates all the conferences in D3 Football into 6 "regions", my idea is to incorporate "regional championships" into the mix.

My idea is this: 8-team playoff brackets per region. The less conferences the more at-large bids, and vice versa. That gets you 48 teams in the playoffs.

Each of the 6 "regional champions" are in the "final" playoffs with the top 2 of them receiving an automatic bid to the second round to the "final" playoffs.

Because this is a 6-week playoff system, one less regular season game would have to be played, meaning some conferences don't get any non-conference games (maybe even one less for that matter).

As much as some may disagree with this idea, I would love to see the NCAA incorporate Regional Championships into the mix of the playoffs. And I think my idea allows for more accessibility into the playoffs. This 48-team system allows the top 20 percent of d3 football to compete in the postseason as opposed to the top 13.3 percent.

General football / D3 Stats in Excel
August 01, 2022, 12:15:17 PM
I compiled the 1999 D3 Football statistics from the NCAA's website and put it all into an Excel spreadsheet. I also put filters in

Only the top 50 of each category was listed from the source.

Here's the link to the sheet. Feel free to request edits/revisions as I move onto 2000's stats.

My goal will be to eventually have all stats from all years.

Biggest gains for this year are 4 teams moving up 4 spots (Ithaca #17, Bethel#13, Johns Hopkins #10, Hardin Simmons #6) as well as UW-Oshkosh coming in at #19 having been previously unranked.

5 schools' rankings remain unchanged (Cortland #16, Delaware Valley #15, Mount Union #3, North Central (Ill.) #2, Mary Hardin-Baylor #1).

Biggest L's are a two-way tie for second place moving down 7 spots (RPI #20, Birmingham-Southern #25) with the biggest L going to Central moving down 8 spots at #14 because their Gagliardi Trophy winner quarterback graduated.

I hope you will come to appreciate this list because I spent over an hourmaking this, coloring the teams, and getting the record & points lined up on the right.

You know how the NBA Has an all star week? What if D3 Football had the same?

Imagine if all the all-conference squads faced off for a week where the last day of the week is the champtionship that determines the conference that gets a bonus automatic bid in the playoffs?

I know there are lots of issues with my idea but I think it would be kinda cool.
