Hampton Sanders of NYU is in the transfer portal. Likely will be heading elsewhere. If that's the case, NYU loses 96% of its scoring from this past years team. Much different at the D1 level with high recruits and big use of the transfer portal, but I'd think it would be much harder for a D3 school to reload after losing so much.

This is obviously under the radar given the fact that Trinity is celebrating winning the National Championship, but as expected, the Bantams finish the season ranked #1 in the country. First #1 national ranking in school history.

You may recall Wesleyan also was ranked #1 for the first time ever this season. Wonder how many instances two teams from the same conference had their first ever #1 rankings in the same season.

According to this article, during their exhibition game against UMass-Amherst, the Beacons "lost" Perkins. I'm assuming it was an injury.
 

Both Regan and Morgan deserved to be POTY. I definitely understand the winning side of things, but Morgan's numbers were just too strong to not have him be the POTY. He carried Hamilton into the NCAA Tournament.

While this is POTY and not MVP, it holds value on how much they both mean to their respective teams. You take Regan off of Wesleyan, they aren't 26-1, but 20-22 wins and an NCAA Tourney berth is probably accurate. You take Morgan off of Hamilton, they'd be lucky to be a .500 team. Metaphorically speaking of course since we'll never actually know in this alternate dimension.

I think the NESCAC got most of the All-Teams right. I agree with mumbo and would've swapped Morakis and Espinosa. Singh and Lee's conference numbers weren't all that different. Lee was 39% from the floor and 26% from three with a few more turnovers and less rebounds and assists. Lee for the 2nd straight year had much better out of conference numbers, which may have played a factor.

In my opinion, Jarrel Okorougo was vastly underrated all year. Can defend 1-4 and give you some big time buckets when needed. Largely defends without fouling too which is an art form of its own.

Congratulations to Trinity on winning the NESCAC and for Hamilton, Tufts and Wesleyan getting into the tournament! The NESCAC is poised to have a nice run.

For the 1st Round, Wesleyan, Trinity and Tufts should be able to take care of business. Hamilton has a tough draw in my opinion with Western New England. They are a very good team with 5 players in double figures scoring. Really good rebounding team as well. I don't think anyone can stop Morgan, but I wouldn't be surprised if WNEU pulls this one out.

You did mention that NESCAC would have trouble guarding him. You were given two examples of two games against NESCAC opponents that frankly, weren't very good this year and he did not perform up to his capabilities.

Not doubting this young mans talent as he clearly has it, but you giving his numbers in conference kind of validates the point that others are making, which is the NESCAC is better than the UAA. Frankly, it doesn't really matter who is the better conference. The only thing that matters at the end of March is who is holding that Walnut and Bronze trophy, not which conference is better top to bottom.

David Murray [Conn to D1 Merrimack] averaging 2.8ppg and 2.4rpg on 59% shooting in 8.6mpg as a reserve.

Ben Rice [Conn to D2 Johnson University] averaging 5.1ppg, 7.2rpg and shooting 40.6% from three. 14 starts on the year.

Ben Callahan-Gold [Trinity to D1 Binghamton] averaging 9.0ppg, 2.6rpg and shooting 37.3% from three. Also shooting 23-24 from the FT line.

Jarron Flynn [Conn to Springfield] averaging 13.2ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.8spg and 1.7apg. Started in all but one game that he has played. Shooting 58.1% from the field, but just 18.8% from three and 48.7% from the FT line.

Christian McDaniel [Hamilton to Case Western Reserve] averaging 2.5ppg 2.2 rpg and 1.0spg. Started the last 7 games for CWRU. His season is over as the UAA does not have a conference tournament.

Alex Stoddard [Williams to Babson] averaging 10.7ppg, 3.3rpg and nearly 1bpg. Shooting 40% from the floor and 34.9% from three.

That would put Williams, Colby and Trinity at 6-4, Williams wins the first tie-breaker by beating both and would get the 3. Colby wins the head to head tiebreaker by beating Trinity. It's possible those teams and Hamilton finish 6-4. If that happens, Williams would get the 3 via beating those three teams, Trinity would get the 4 based on their record against the top 4 (including tied teams) and Hamilton would get the 5 based on their win against Colby.

If Hamilton beats Williams on Friday, they are hosting no matter what. The only team that could catch up to them in that instance would be Colby, and as previously stated, Hamilton wins that tie-breaker.

What a fun time of year!

Any memories of Blake Schultz at Williams? Maybe not known as one of the best three point shooters but he hit a ridiculous 52% from three his senior year (77-148). That Williams team in 2009-10 shot 46% from three for the year! Still don't know how they didn't win the title, though that Stevens-Point team was good.

Congrats to Keene State's Octavio Brito! The senior guard surpassed 2,000 career points in a 92-75 win over Castelton last night. Just the third player in Keene State history to reach that milestone. He's only 10 points away from getting to #2 on the all-time list. He is also in the top 10 in career rebounds, blocks and approaching the top 10 in career assists and steals. Congrats again to an excellent player!

2 years ago I think the last regular season game, Williams vs. Conn, Williams with a win was the #1 seed with a loss would have been the 6th seed.

Both Tufts and Trinity are currently 5-2 and Hamilton is 4-2. If Hamilton wins out, which one of those would be against Tufts, and Trinity loses one of their last three, Hamilton would get the 2 seed with an 8-2 record. Tufts and Trinity would be 7-3 at best in this scenario. I don't think this will actually happen, but you can't rule it out.
