Good stuff Wildcat 11,

I hope the Cat's go out on the field against WOU and just explode Sept. 10.

How bout them Beavers :o

Congrats to OSU, National Champs!!!!

What a fun team to watch.

Congrats to Coach Locey!  Oregon State has landed a very good coach that will enhance that program with his football knowledge and his Christian influence as well.

Coach Locey will be in a good situation and make twice as much as he did at Linfield with much less pressure.  And yes, I believe the head coach at Linfield has more pressure on him than Coach Riley at OSU.  I'm sure many will disagree.

Also, congrats to Coach Smith!  He will do a great job because he learned from Coach Locey and he has his own firey style that players love.

If coach Nagle takes over on offense like I'm sure he will, then the offense will do just fine.  Many probably aren't aware that Coach Nagle was courted by SOU to become the head coach two different times, but he declined.

That's dissapointing about Casey Allen.

Some of the other receivers on that roster have NFL experience so I figured Casey would have a hard time catching on with that team.

Hopefully he can catch on somewhere else.

Congrats to Elliot!

This is the scnario that most of us predicted.  Looks like Langsdorf hooked him up bigtime.

He'll probably get a chance to be the practice squad QB, and if one of the other QB's get's injured, he could be put on the roster.

40 times for NFL QB's are overrated.  Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Jake Plummer, just to name a few, ran poor 40 times at the combine.  You'd think Plummer would run a good 40, but he ran a 4.9.

To be good in the NFL these day's, a QB needs to be nifty in the pocket (be able to feel the rush and slide to the right spot to avoid it), have a quick releasewith a strong arm, make good smart quick decisions, and have a great grasp of the offense your running.  Elliott has the potential and ability to excel at these different aspects, if given a chance.  He deserves one.

Wildcat 11,

Awsome job with the videos.

I think "Craven saves the Streak," is #1 for sure, it's not even close.

I have a feeling that if Brett was to get drafted it would be by San Diego in the 7th round.

If he goes undrafted, and he ends up signing a free agent deal, that also will be with the Chargers.

I just really think that Langsdorf will lobby hard for him for obvious reasons, most likely as a free agent on the practice squad.  I wonder if Langsdorf feels some pressure to do that?  Plus Breesy is a Saint now.

By the way Wildcat 11, awsome stuff with those videos and everything.  Those were fun to watch.

This is off the subject but just wanted to comment on Kevin Love and Kyle Singler, the two great junior basketball players from Medford and LO.  All I gotta say is go watch those guy's play next year if you can.
I've never seen a better center than Love in the state of Oregon and Singler is a very rare athlete too.

I actually enjoy watching Singler play football more then basketball.  The dude is 6'8 and lanky but he comes up and hit's, he's the toughest guy on the field.  He's one of those guy's that's tough all game long, super fun to watch.

There's a good article on espn.com about Elliot and his draft status.  Go to NFL draft coverage, it's right next to pasquarelli: Intriguing prospects not in Indy.

Some team has to give him a shot, all the numbers are great and everything that he put up, but the fact that he beat out Alex Smith not once but twice is what makes him a legitimate prospect in my opinion.

Light n Darkness,

Wow, that's awsome.  I bet not many knew that.  I'm sure some of Coach Rutchman's dynamics rubbed off on him.

Take it home Seahawks!

DenSLA,

Yes, I would love to come down to cali and watch highschool fb.
I love h.s. football, absolutely love it.

Long Beach Poly and De La Salle would be the first on my list to go see.

Coach Belotti was once quoted, "There's more D1 football talent in one block in L.A. than in all of Oregon."

WOU,

I'm right with you man.  I use to think the way red & purple thinks until I stood on the sidelines of a lot of duck's and beaver's practices and games. :o

I don't think anyone should get there hopes up about Brett being drafted.
From what I've seen of him, he doesn't show the arm strength of the eligible to draft qb's that I've watched.

But, he still has a chance to impress some scouts with individual workouts so ya never know.

Remember, Jason White, the Heisman trophy winner a few years ago didn't even get drafted.

Hopefully he'll sign a free agent deal, and make some noise like Kitna.

Hey wild thing,

Yeah, the Cat's haven't done very well in the post season.  I have some thoughts and opinions that I believe is the reason for the for the lack of success in the postseason,  but I'm going to keep that to myself.

I'm sure the Cat's will be very talented this year, as they always seem to be.  Replacing Justus will be tough, that guy was nails.  The catcher was good too, and of course Patterson.  All that leadership up the middle will be tough to replace.

Thanks Tez,

Not bad numbers but not very good either.

Hope they give him another year to show his stuff.  You can't assess a player's major league potential with 34 games.  It always took me 34 games to just get in the groove at the plate.

Players need about 70 games to see what they can really do.
