I don't think winning is that important for most WIAC schools. That staff has done a very nice job. Glad to see they gave the assistant the interim.

Last post by deiscanton - Today at 05:00:56 PMAfter a marathon game that lasted 4 hours and 12 minutes today, CWRU has clinched the 2025 UAA Baseball title and the first-ever UAA Baseball AQ to the NCAA DIII Baseball Tournament with a 25-18 win over Brandeis today. Game started at 12:30 PM ET and just ended at approx 4:42 PM ET. No rain delays, although the game was played off campus at Yetten Field at Waltham High School due to rain earlier today and rain in the forecast. The first 2 games of the Brandeis/CWRU series were played yesterday due to forecasted weather conditions.
That win, combined with losses by Chicago today and Emory yesterday, guarantees that CWRU will finish UAA play with the best win/loss percentage in UAA play (Minimum 15 UAA games played).
CWRU is now 13-5-1 in the UAA with 1 game left to play.
Emory is now 11-7 in the UAA with 2 games left to play.
UChicago is now 10-7 in the UAA with 3 games left to play.
Emory, UChicago, and WashU out of the UAA vying for 3 of the 23 at-large bids.

Aronwald of Brandeis has hit a solo home run shot to make this game CWRU 25, Brandeis 18.
The next batter, D. Tambiscia, strikes out swinging.
Brandeis now down to their final out.
Next batter, D. Walsh of Brandeis, walks. Brandeis still down to their final out.
Next batter, K. Lee strikes out swinging.
Ball game over!
Congratulations to the CWRU Spartans-- 2025 UAA Baseball Champions-- AQ to NCAA DIII Baseball Tournament
FINAL from Waltham, MA-- CWRU 25, Brandeis 18
[b} CWRU clinches UAA baseball title-- now 13-5-1 in UAA play--(.711 win/loss pct). Guaranteed at least a .675 win/loss pct in UAA play with a record no worse than 13-6-1 in UAA play, while Emory and Chicago can only finish at best with a .650 winning pct should these teams finish at 13-7 in UAA play. Last post by deiscanton - Today at 04:41:35 PMMiddle of the 9th inning now in Waltham, MA-- CWRU 25, Brandeis 17
Brandeis down to their last at-bats. CWRU is 3 outs away from the UAA baseball title and the AQ.
This game however has been wild enough so that it would not be impossible for Brandeis to score 8 runs in the bottom of the 9th to take this game to extra innings or 9 runs in this inning to win this game outright.
CWRU may clinch the AQ today, but I really do not like CWRU's chances to win a regional in the baseball tournament with their porous defense today.
