Last post by purple - Today at 06:19:32 AMJCU is going to face a skilled QB and very fast receivers. They will have no answer for the passing attack of the Purples. The DBs for JCU will be overmatched. Mount by five and I don't mean points.

Last post by kevdog - Today at 12:12:44 AMQuote from: StatesSoccerFan on Yesterday at 11:17:15 PMHenry Brown in National Championship game. Has been a great move for him moving to Tufts. From a LL standpoint hopefully we don't see too many more leave teams.I hope so too but 2 out of 3 of the last rookies of the years left for NESAC teams and they got to play in the championship game. On another note congrats to Brady Leitner and the kid from Vassar for getting All American honors.

Last post by jdex - Yesterday at 10:39:45 PMCortland and Oswego start conference action with a bang. RDragons survive 86-81 in double overtime Friday at C-land. Indicate both squads top shelf once more.
Lakers never lead in either OT period and need blown Cortland breakaway dunk and two cool J. McGhee free throws at 0:01 to reach second extra period at 75-75. Over final 2:20 Corts get K. Arcuri tip-in for 81-79 edge, then K. Wilson straightaway trey and two free throws at 0:14 to seal it.
Dragons up by 11 in the opening half and 37-28 at the break. Oswego gets act together in a nailbiter of a second half. Takes its biggest lead of three points. And with 50 seconds left in regulation G. McLean records his ninth steal resulting in a layup for 69-69 tie heading to first OT.
Cortland defense plays large. Oswego just 29x75fg to Dragons 31x63. Laker ace D. Judd "held" to 24pts (9x28fg), just two in OTs. Corts respond in fine fashion ...Arcuri 23pts (9x14fg, 4x4ft, 10reb, 45'); A. Coston 19pts (8x10fg, 11reb, 42'); Wilson 17pts (6x10fg, 4x5ft, 37'), J. Davis 15pts, 7reb, 42'. OSt's Judd plays 48 minutes and mates supply mighty support ...McGhee 20pts (7x8ft); S. Bradley 17pts playing entire game; McLane 11pts, 10reb in 44'. Lakers with 15 steals led by McLean's nine.
Cortland (5-1 overall) home Saturday vs. Canton. Oswego (4-2) at Morrisville Saturday.
Potsdam upsets Buffalo St. 84-71, Oneonta over New Paltz 65-58, Plattsburgh stops Fredonia 94-78, Morrisville takes down Canton 88-80

Region 6 football (Midwest and West-ish) / Re: FB: Wisconsin Intercollegi...
Last post by cubs - Yesterday at 10:34:51 PMI asked the same question last weekend, but what are everyone's thoughts on the success we might see from the WIAC tomorrow?
3-0? 2-1? 1-2? or a dreaded 0-3?
I struggle seeing the La Crosse offense doing anything remotely close to enough to give the Eagles a chance against North Central.
I feel like Platteville falls short against the MIAC Champion...
And while River Falls was clearly the top team in the WIAC this year, seeing them get upset wouldn't shock me.
I had hopes for the both Platteville and La Crosse last season, and neither made it out of the round of 32. I'd consider a 2-1 day tomorrow a success, but a 1-2 day is probably more realistic, while 0-3 wouldn't surprise me based on the WIAC's recent lack of deep Playoff runs.

Last post by y_jack_lok - Yesterday at 10:10:26 PMI suppose some of the quality of campus stores depends on whether they are owned and operated by the college itself, or they've been outsourced to Follett, or Barnes & Noble, or one of the other corporate entities in that arena. Randolph-Macon's campus store is proprietary to the college. It's been almost exactly 10 years since I was on the campus, but at that time the store was well stocked with a wide variety of gear as well as most of the things students need for classes. From everything I can discern, that hasn't changed and it is a thriving business that offers college gear that people like.

Last post by rdanie03 - Yesterday at 09:58:51 PMQuote from: Sandon Mibut on Yesterday at 09:33:48 PMNo. Dezotell did that as a matter of principle. He can't tell the team they haven't given their all if he isn't bookedQuote from: rdanie03 on Yesterday at 05:50:45 PMQuote from: Bucket on Yesterday at 05:38:01 PMQuote from: paclassic89 on Yesterday at 04:57:32 PMQuote from: Sandon Mibut on Yesterday at 04:29:47 PMRef very heavy-handed against Tufts
Ref has been fine.
I didn't watch the entire game, so I can't reasonably comment on overall quality, but this astounds me:
7 cards on Tufts? They had 21 all season.
St Olaf's had 3 cards, so it's not like the official was card happy with all. Seems like Tufts partisans have a point.
As a Tufts partisan here's what I'll say. 5-6 of the cards were merited with one blatantly bad call. I think the bigger problem the jumbos had with the referee was a lack of consistency in what constituted a card. If both teams were held to the same standard, it probably would have finished with 5-6 cards each.
Inconsistency was the problem which I'm sure is why Dezotell got carded.
