NAIA...

Just started the program about 2 years ago.

Plays Huntingdon every year as the crosstown rivalry game every September.

No love lost between the schools.

My question is what happened that a new coach starting a new program would leave so quickly.  (The BSC coach got to move to a new program at South Alabama.)  Job was harder than he thought it would be?  No support from the President?  The admissions office wants to tighten the enrollment restrictions on him?  Did he get a new job at a better location, which in the South may be large high school program.

It seems that Faulkner is better at Bass Fishing (http://www.faulkner.edu/athletics/Bass.asp) than football.   :)

--- this is true....NONE ...the boy hated to lose to LaGrange, but speak well of thier kids.....he strongly dislikes Faulkner

---probably, i hear he is a nice young man...but was a GA at Auburn...then went staright to head coach (bypassed position coach, -coordinator-????), he had the athletes...they were big and fast (fastest team Huntingdon played...probably the biggest)

--- i thnk you r getting warm....they appear to have had some kids that might not fit into the church school atmosphere

Did he get a new job at a better location, which in the South may be large high school program.-
--- no he (for now) is staying at Faulkner in the athletic dept... my oldest daughter
and her husband both graduated from law school at Faulkner (Thomas Goode School of Law)....the son in law keeps up with thier athletic dept  (he worked for a Pro sports team post college- pre law school), he called me and said they were tightening things up ...what ever that means...he said of the football program 'it's a mess"...what ever that means

the 2007 game was a beat down by Huntingdon...and from Faulkner's side, i have never seen that many unsportsman like penalities, late hits, and even player ejections

this yr we beat them by 2 TD, they were more disciplined, but still.... most of thier kids would not b Huntingdon players..after the game one of thier coaches put on a blog that they should have won as they were a much better team than Huntingdon ( he really dogged the Huntingdon players)...i could see high school kid doing that,,,,,but not a coach

they have some good athletes, it is a fine Liberal arts school, great basketball and baseball teams .... Great Law school (highest % Bar pasage rate of the 3 law schools in alabama.... uh...not that i care ;D)

keep the faith
