Occidental is the fifth SCIAC school to offer women's lacrosse.  They have hired an outstanding coach.

I now propose that the SCIAC sponsor women's lacrosse, and accept the affiliation of Pacific, Puget Sound and Linfield to gain the AQ.

You are likely to play those NWC teams anyway to fill the season's schedule.  Why not make it formal and get an AQ?

Thiel is adding men's and women's Lacrosse in 2010-11.

Bethany WV (http://www.ncaa.org/wps/portal/ncaahome?WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/ncaa/ncaa/ncaa+news/ncaa+news+online/2010/division+iii/bethany+%28west+virginia%29+plans+mens+lacrosse+program_01_20_10_ncaa_news) will add club men's lacrosse in 2010-11 and varsity in 2011-12.

Four core members allow the conference to seek at least 3 affiliate members to earn an AQ.

Looking at the 2011-12 season to have a varisty program is enoough lead time for other teams to consider affiliation status, if the Pres AC is open to that.  An AQ bid in Men's Lacrosse would be possible in 2013-14.

Huntingdon (http://www.huntingdon.edu/athleticsNews.aspx?id=6121) to add men's lacrosse and women's track and field in 2011-12 and hope to add women's lacrosse and men's track the following year.
