Is this true? McMurry is looking to move to DII?
You tell us. Where'd you hear it? Why'd you post it?
I'm pretty sure there's someone on the boards who'd know if that were going down (and would probably be pretty strongly against it), so I don't imagine it'll be a mystery for long :D
I've heard rumors of this but nothing even remotely close to concrete. There's been talk for ... a little under a year that I can remember that more than one ASC school might be looking to move to Division II. I'm sure with a big-name football coach, the talk could get ratcheted up. But I have no evidence that it's more than talk.
Calling for Ralph Turner. McMurry insider Ralph Turner, please pick up the courtesy phone!
I'm guessing we can get quick confirmation or denial once Ralph checks in. ;)
I can't speak to McMurry going D2 but I had a conversation last week with an ACU affiliated friend who said that ACU is about to begin the process of moving up to D1-AA. That would open a spot in the Lone Star conference.

Around these parts, teams just move. There is no "up" or "down," just whatever works better for the institution in question. ;)

While I might agree with you in principle, when it comes to expenditures to make that move the numbers are definitely going up. ;D ;)
