if you go to nfldraftscout.com where all the top senior pro prospects, players listed does this mean they are being looked at by nfl scouts? as there are some d1,d2 and even d3 players listed as the top senior pro prospects on this site

I see there is a player from alfred (OLB, CHAD PIERI) listed as one of the top 2011 propsects by college you can look at prospects dating back to 1999 by college and he is the only one listed from alfred-being listed does this mean he is getting looked at by nfl scouts ?

It basically means someone filed a scouting report on him -- as you can see there's not much here. Having worked closely with NFLDraftScout rankings from my time at USA Today I can tell you the position rating of 999 is just a place-filler number used for guys who aren't ranked. There aren't going to be 999 OLBs in any particular draft class.

Two profiles on him, same source data.

Glad to see another Alfred poster on the boards.  Stop on over to the East Region boards (http://www.d3boards.com/index.php?board=1470.0) if you'd like a little more dialogue, especially in regards to East Region players.

I think scouts only. There are several levels of scouts but I suspect someone in the hierarchy has to start the process as an area scout before a team scout or scouting director comes out to take a look.
