NOTABLE REVENGE/RIVALRY GAMES on TODAYS CARD (9/16/15)

Rose-Hulman @ Wabash (last year Wabash W 1-0)
WPI @ Brandeis (last year Brandeis W 1-0)
Kenyon vs OWU.....Not playing today but I still think about both of them every day. Does that count?
Seriously, we know rivalries like Duke vs UNC and UK vs Louisville are huge in bball, and Ohio State vs Michigan in football, etc, etc.
For D3 soccer, what are the best rivalry games?
Amherst vs Williams has got to be at the top of the list.
I'll try a few...
Hope vs Calvin
Newark vs Camden or Camden vs Montclair
Roanoke vs Lynchburg
Bates vs Colby
Middlebury vs Green Mountain (just kidding)
Wartburg vs Loras (and Loras vs Wheaton?)
Haverford vs Swat
Messiah vs Etown!!! The Marshmallow Bowl!!!!
UW Whitewater and UW Oshkosh absolutely love each other ;)
Loras vs Wartburg
York vs Messiah
Stevens vs TCNJ
Etown vs F&M
Eastern vs Arcadia
Could the Messiah-Etown game be bigger than the Messiah-York game for the first time in almost a decade?
Loras v Wartburg or Loras v Wheaton for sure
Isn't Merchant Marine v Coast Guard a BIG one?

Think that is pretty accurate!
From a Mid-Atlantic perspective here are some others. I know I mentioned it earlier but Lycoming vs Rochester. The teams have split the past 2 years.
Another that comes to mind is Leb Val vs Marywood. Leb Val has yet to win this season and was blanked 4-0 by Marywood last year. Crucial game for the Dutchman to get back on track.
Hood vs Frostburg St. (Battle of Maryland) Was a 1-0 game last year in favor of FSU.
Misericordia vs York. Misericordia trying to avenge a 3-1 loss.
Alvernia vs Etown. Rekindling the fire of old conference rivals (again). Etown with the 1-0 win last year.
REVENGE GAME THIS WEEKEND
Conn College v. Tufts as CC knocked out first seed Tufts in the first round of the NESCAC playoffs..... although, in hindsight, it was the best thing that happened to the Jumbos. It was the wake-up call for the National Championship.....

Yes good one! Similar to Messiah in 2013 when they got bounced in their conference semi-finals then went on a rampage to the title.
Mr. Right vs Mr. Wrong
Now that's a match-up I would like to see :D
I gotta tell you man you are ruining these boards with these STUPID comments...Try talking Futbol, Teams, Rankings etc....My guess is you have nothing really to add but just like being a pest...That ruins this for a ton of readers and brings the site down...but hey good luck with that...
Trinity Texas at Texas Lutheran tonight. Trinity outscored Lutheran 10-0 in 2 games last year. Look for Lutheran to at least score this year and try and keep it close. I say Trinity wins 4-1 but it's a close game at the half.
Rutgers-Camden vs Rutgers-Newark. The losing team will be on the verge of missing the NJAC playoffs. Camden has lost 6 of it's last 7 vs good opponents, while Newark has gone 5-1-1.

That will be a good one to keep an eye on!
Rutgers Newark MUST know that if they finish 3-0-0 or 2-0-1 they will get a Pool C if they reach the Semi's of the NJAC tourney..The 7-1 loss is a bit perplexing but they would have some great wins on their resume if they go clean...A loss to Camden and another draw after would finish them off....You have to figure that Ryan and Camden are going to break out in one of these games
We've been talking about this over on the North Region board but UW Whitewater is at UW Oshkosh tomorrow evening, it should be a heck of a match.
The last 5 results between these two look like this (home team listed first):
11/7/2014 UWO -1 UWW - 0 (featuring 6 yellow cards 1 red card)
11/2/2014 UWW - 1 UWO -1 (5 YC)
11/2/2013 UWO - 4 UWW - 0 (3 YC)
11/2/2012 UWW - 3 UWO - 1 (7 YC & 3 RC)
11/4/2011 UWW - 1 UWO - 0 (7 YC)
Needless to say it will be a battle !

Amherst losing to Wesleyan in the regular season is not rare..I believe since Serpone took over in 2007 Amherst 3 teams that Serpone has struggled with are Wesleyan, Williams and Conn.He has dominated everyone else except maybe MIDD beat him a couple times when he first took over
