Over on the North Coast Athletic Conference board are recent posts about the Buresh family and Wabash football. Another Buresh, the fifth to play at Wabash, will arrive in the fall as a member of the Class of 2021. Five Buresh brothers will have played football at Wabash: Tyler (DL), Cody (LB/DL), Ethan (LB/DL), Dylan (currently a tight end and a rising senior), and now Seth. Quite a remarkable happening.
This leads to a question. Are there other examples of as many as five siblings from the same family who played football at the same college? More than five? Four?
Or how about four + siblings who played at different colleges? (I don't imagine three siblings would be too unusual, but four or more is rare air I would think.)
With the Buresh family, I've always harkened back to the Sanger family at Central. Here's their story:

It's not football, but I believe that there have been three Lefever brothers that have wrestled at Wabash within the past couple of years, including Riley who just graduated yesterday and had tremendous success in his four years on campus.
That's correct. The older Lefever brothers are twins; both were very successful. Riley, the "little brother," is only the second Division III wrestler ever to win four consecutive national titles. This year he also won his fourth straight Pete Vaughan award at Wabash. The recognition goes annually to Wabash's best athlete. Riley was also the head resident assistant on campus and a perennial Dean's List student.
Tim Patterson was a defensive back for UW-W in the 1980's. He broke the school record for interceptions and is in the UW-W Hall of Fame. Both of his sons play(ed) for UW-W. Nick was a running back for the Warhawks from 2012-2015 and Drew is currently on the team and will be a junior on the field in 2017.
The Bombers have triplets on their roster (or did, last year)
One of the most impressive things about the five Buresh brothers playing at Wabash is that there is not a set of twins in the mix. Five brothers, each one overlapping with at least one other brother, all following, then, in an uninterrupted line beginning in 2008 and ending, if all goes well, in 2020. That would be 13 straight years, 2008-2020, with a Buresh on the Wabash roster.
The Robinson family (Johnson City, NY) had a similar run at Hobart College. All three boys, Nolan '07, Ryan '10 and Troy '15 played for the Statesmen. All three were Captains as well, if memory serves.
Nolan and Ryan were both LBers and Troy was a WR. In 2014 Troy had two key catches for 40 yards on the final drive that gave Hobart a comeback 24-21 win over #6/7 JHU in the 2nd round of the NCAAs, arguably the Statesmen's biggest win in program history.
