Title: 2022 National Championship
Post by: Ejay on October 15, 2020, 08:06:54 PM
Just saw that Roanoke will be hosting the 2022, 2023 and 2025 NCAA DIII Men's and Women's Soccer Final Four and National Championships. That's a great choice - Roanoke has an incredible stadium.

I'm sure that Roanoke has a great facility, but I'm looking forward to seeing the final at Allegiant Stadium.

(It will be at Allegiant Stadium, right?)

The facilities at Roanoke are incredible for a d1 school let alone a d3 program.  And winning a national championship in OT there means it will always have a special place in my heart.

But a post game 4 pc chicken nugget from Zaxby's probably isn't quite the same celebration as the guys in vegas will have.

Contesting a National Championship on turf is truly embarrassing.

I personally don't have a problem with it, but I do wonder why it has not returned to Kansas City. That field was incredible.

Location, probably. Kansas City is well off of the beaten path for nearly every single school in D3. There are only three D3 schools that are located within a 3 1/2 hour drive of KC, and most D3 campuses are more than a day's drive away.
