The NACC 2021 playoffs got off to a wild start last week.
#4 WLC upset #1 CUW by getting a 95th minute goal from Aedon Meurer.
#2 MSOE got a home win against Marian, but this match was even more interesting. The Sabers were up 1-0 late in the 2nd half of regulation--MSOE- 48 seconds away from potential elimination-gets a game-tying goa from Connor Dees, then Konrad Knap puts the Raiders in the NACC final with a 105th minute goal.
2 cross-town Milwaukee rivals meet in the NACC Tournament Final today. (MSOE fans get a home double-dip, the women's squad play CUW today also).
NACC North Final: WLC 0, MSOE 0, MSOE wins on PK's 4-3.
Warriors' goalie Galvan made tons of saves in this match during regulation and OT. This was a very physical match, especially in the 2nd half of regulation.
MSOE's Xiong nailed the match-clinching PK. A couple of those Raider kicks were high-speed to the upper-right shelf of the goal.
MSOE ends up doing the soccer victory double on the day. (The women beat CUW earlier).
NACC South Final: Dominican 3, Aurora 0. All goals were scored in the 2nd half.
Dominican soccer does the NACC South double. (Women beat Benedictine).
NACC Fall 2021 Pre-Season Men's Soccer Poll is now out:

(Quite a contrast between Dominican-Spring South Division Champ, and MSOE --Spring North Division Champ, imho-thought MSOE might rank higher than 5th here)
Consider this a shout-out to St. Norbert, who clinched the top spot for the NACC post-season tournament that squad's first year in the league!
St.Norbert and Dominican are playing in extra time for the NACC AQ tied at 1 at the moment--
Could it come down to penalty kicks?
Developing. . .
St. Norbert/Dominican IS going to penalty kicks!
Dominican advances!
