Title: First ever DIII swimmer headed to Olympics on U.S. Swim Team
Post by: jknezek on June 17, 2021, 09:26:43 AM
Washington Post article on Andrew Wilson, the former Emory swimmer, who just made the U.S. Olympic Team for Tokyo. He just missed in 2016. The article says he's the first DIII swimmer ever to make the Olympics.

Final result for Andrew Wilson -- he was fast enough in the prelims and semifinals to make the top 8 and swim for a medal, but finished tied for 6th overall. A great performance.

After his terrific performance in the 100 meter breaststroke, Andrew Wilson barely missed qualifying, by one spot, for the semifinal in the 200 meter breaststroke.
