Wanted to see if there might be interest in doing some type of bracket challenge for the Women's tournament. Pretty straightforward. Just send in your picks for the entire tournament. Point values would be assigned to each win. Almost the same format as what we have done for the football bracket challenge in past years.
Scoring system:
1st round - 1 point
2nd round - 2 points
3rd Round - 4 points
Quarterfinals- 6 points
Semifinals- 8 points
Final - 15 points
Tiebreaker is total points scored in the National Championship Game
Let me know if you're interested...
I'm in.
I would play if it went.

D3photography.com typically runs a bracket challenge on d3hoops.com for both the men's and women's tournaments. You probably don't need to duplicate efforts (assuming they're going to continue to do this).
I don't know that there will be one. They didn't do one for football.

I may not be remembering correctly, but I don't believe they have had for the last few tournaments played. Is it posted somewhere that they are doing it?

Yes, that's why I had posted this on here. Could not find one for this year, and I know they did not do one for football. If they do end up doing one, then that's perfectly fine. But if not, figure we can see how many might want to participate through D3boards.
I'm going to run this for whoever is interested...there are a couple already on board...send in your brackets before the tournament starts!

Wow! Picking New Jersey City to win two games, including at Scranton!
I like bold picks even if I don't often offer them.

Massey Bracket is out ... still don't get why the WIAC is so heavily valued, but sometimes math works in mysterious ways. Certain that the model has had challenges this year, but always an interesting data point.
Sum, Average and Median of ratings by bracket:
CNU = 1434, 95.6, 54.5 (2 top 10, 4 top 20) lowest 5, highest 309
Smith = 1052, 65.7, 46.0 (4 top 10, 7 top 20) lowest 3, highest 308 (also has #4 Whitewater)
Hope = 920, 57.5, 45.0 (3 top 10, 4 top 20) lowest 1, highest 151 (NJC)
Transylvania = 975, 60.9 39.0 (1 top 10, 3 top 20) lowest 2, highest 191
(La Crosse #19 and Calvin #20 did not make it, so only 18 of the top 20)
I somehow missed this before yesterday. I filled out my bracket, and I would've just coped everything I have on here to the bracket challenge anyways. I would have had 9 misses in the first round: Johns Hopkins, Hardin-Simmons, Cortland, RI College, Emmanuel, Salisbury, Roger Williams, Wartburg and Wittenberg.
I had: Hope, Wartburg, NYU, Scranton, Ithaca, Trine, MHB, Transy, Simpson, Gettysburg, Whitewater, Smith, Amherst, Tufts, Hardin-Simmoms and Newport in round 2
I had: Newport, Amherst, Whitewater, Gettysburg, Transy, Trine, Scranton & Hope in round 3.
I had: Hope, Trine, Whitewater & Amherst in the quarterfinals.
I had: Whitewater & Hope in the semifinals
I had Whitewater over Hope in the final

That might just be the upset of the tournament...I had Simpson going to the Final Four...very surprising loss for a team that looked unstoppable most of the season
I hadn't watched Simpson enough to form a strong opinion, but watched them vs Dubuque late in the year and the two teams looked very even.

Lol, from the guy who has been pimping Simpson all season.
I think I only watched Simpson played Wartburg, but I was really impressed by the guards' size and shooting ability. Those guards did not shoot well last night, whether that was due to a bad night, Oshkosh's usually stingy defense or maybe feeling off-kilter with the tornadoes going through the area. Nash, Rasmussen and Freeland who are all really good shot 4 for 22.

Too bad there's no bracket challenge this year I might have actually won the thing as I had Amherst, Whitewater, Hope & Trine in the final 4. I took a lot of losses in the early rounds, but hopefully my four for four semifinal predictions bump my total up somewhat. Probably not a lot (if any) had all 3 of Whitewater, Trine & Amherst advancing.
Wow! That's impressive!
I had Trine, Hope, and Amherst. I was really bullish on WW all year... but I was even more bullish on Simpson...

If they had played CNU's schedule, I'm convinced both Trine and Hope would be undefeated. I think the same of Simpson. I'm not a voter, but if I were, my rankings would go 1. Hope, 2. Trine, 3. Simpson...
My fourth team would be a toss up between Whitewater and CNU...
