Title: North Atlantic Conference
Post by: EnmoreCat on September 30, 2023, 11:22:57 PM
Just saw this score:

NVU Lyndon 0 Husson 23

I hadn't heard of Lyndon, but did have a look and they have had a difficult season.  Not much to say other than I hope they can hang in there.  They only have a thirteen man roster it seems, which I guess might make selection easy, but definitely doesn't help in competition for game time.

I watched maybe 15 minutes.  And it was 3-0 when I tuned out.

Not sure how to explain this one as I don't want to talk poorly about the effort NVU-Lyndon put in.  They tried.

SC.

Is that score accurate or a typo?

The Hornets cumulative score for the season is 5 GF and 74 GA.  Could not find the results of the alumni game.  Very hard to compete when you start the season with 13 on the roster, 3 of whom you pulled off a counter at a Ben & Jerry's.  And that's before factoring in any injuries.

Some of these schools at the very, very bottom of D3 face these challenges almost every year...sometimes having to start games with only 9 or 10...and reaching a point where sometimes they simply have to cancel.
